scottyno 0
thanks to everyone for the advice, I don't really have to worry about losing it all and then being stuck there, my mother is going too, she doesn't gamble but she wants to go and see what the area is like and probably go shopping. I'm only planning on staying like 4-5 hours so hopefully i can't go through 50 bb playing 2-4 limit in that amount of time and if I do I'll know its just not my day. Its only about an hour and a half away, so if I enjoy playing live in a casino I can easily go back any time. I'm only going to play nl if i do well at the limit table, my nl cash game is still pretty weak and im not very comfortrable playing with a deep stack so i'd probably only buy in for 100.will report back on my results tomorrow, if i lose its no big deal, im not going to be playing for any more money tomorrow than i play for pretty much every day online. T-Dot-poker 0
I don't think you need to bring any more than $200 to a 1-2NL game. As a matter of fact, that is the most you should bring with you and if you lose it...just leave and come back to fight another day. I play almost daily at the casino in Niagara Falls and I usually sit at the 5-5NL game with $300-$500 and it always works for me. I win $1000 or more daily on a regular basis and I almost always start with only $300....not a penny more. So if you're only playing 1-2NL, then $200 should be more than good enough for you to get your feet wet for the first time. Just remember the key to winning money there is to set goals for yourself and then stick to them. Make sure that if you win as much as you set out to win, then get up off the table immediately and stay there!! Also, if you lose the maximum that you set out to play with...then leave the casino right after and don't end up losing your shirt in one session. You can always come back another day if the cards aren't falling for you.

I'll leave alone the rest of the bs in your post.

scottyno 0
just got back, played 2-4 limit for like 3 hours and got **** cards for the most part. I got AK once and missed everything, got AQs and flopped a flush draw with 2 overs but bricked out vs JJ, had AT twice when i flopped an ace and both times was up against AK (and once someone else had A4) and my only pps were 3s 3 times and 8s once the 3s i folded all on the flop and the 8s i lost to K6 that turned trip 6s on the turn. The biggest pot I lost I had AJd that I limped utg, bunch of other people limped, flop JT7 rainbow, i bet, 1 call, 1 raise, another call, i call, other guy calls. turn A, I check, person bets, person raises, person folds, I call other guy calls. River K checked around, 1 guy shows AK and one shows JT for like a $60 pot.'The 2 biggest pots I won were with K5c and K8o, lol. I limped K5c utg and flopped the nuts with A34 all clubs, i cold called a bet and raise, then checkraised the turn and lead the river to take down a nice pot, Im guessing the other guy had something like AT with the Tc but he didn't show. Then I won a nice pot limping the button with K8o with the king of diamonds, flop was JTx all diamonds and i called a bet, turn was Qh and i called another bet, and river came a 9 and i called again and he showed JT.Overall I ended up buying in for $100 and cashing out for $82 which was fine, considering that I didn't get any big pairs or flop any sets and my big aces lost and that at one point I was down to about $25. I learned that everyone was correct in saying how bad everyone at 2-4 limit plays, if they are in the blinds its almost an auto call with any 2 if someone raises, and they play all kinds of hands that no good player would play and then don't fold them if they have an overcard to the board even if its just ace high with no draw. They also can't fold kings or queens even when an ace flops and there hand is obviously no good. I had a hand I played where I limped A3h and called a raise, flop was A59, i check called, turn 3, i check raise, river Q, i lead he calls, and he mucks saying he had kings (I had put him on a big ace) and kings would have been an easy fold there.Overall it was alright, the experience was good and foxwoods is amazing, but it can get pretty boring when you're getting so many crap hands that you can't play.
