  1. I posted in the thread in general that I think shoving is a bad idea here, especially if we think we can keep MP1 in the hand as well as MP2. What about a smooth call here, followed by a turn bet to anything that's not a diamond (I'm far less scared of the set than StupidKid is here). If MP2 knows that MP1 is playing every hand, his raising range is far wider than just a set or better.
  2. *** FLOP *** [9d Qh Jd]ChipGREED: bets 1200NotNearGreat: raises 1600 to 2800blurred1: raises 45713 to 48513 and is all-inAm I the only one who doesn't like this incredibly huge raise? I get that we want to get all of our chips in the middle with the nuts, but I don't think going all-in here is maybe the best way to do it. And even if we're fairly sure NNG is going to call, we've effectively squeezed out ChipGREED who may call the raise and donate some chips to us as well.I'm not advocate folding, I'm just thinking a smooth call and then a push on the turn is a better way to go?Edit: I'm aware
  3. Some strategy and trivia for you about Monopoly if you're playing for money with people not on this board:The orange properties are landed on more than any other set of properties (due to being 6 and 8 squares away from Jail, the most visited square in the game and it being escapable by rolling doubles). For some reason Illinois Avenue is the most landed on property in the game.(A monte carlo simulation of this is available at: http://www.tkcs-collins.com/truman/monopol...html#Long_term)The second set of properties in any strip (other than red vs. yellow) is a better value than the first (same
  4. I value bet this river every time, but I'm curious why you think checking is a show of strength? I play at $0.25/0.50, but I play pure Stud rather than HORSE so I'm thinking the players are at a similar level...not drastically different I would imagine at least. I think villain's likely line here with a worse hand is check/call - I don't think the average micro stud player gives you credit for being able to lay down Kings here. Can you tell me more about why checking could be strength here - I need more plays in my arsenal :)I make no claims to being good at poker, but I've logged a few thous
  5. Betting big on most of these fights makes me nervous, let alone 24k on either of the main events.Good to see the line shifting toward Clementi...makes me less nervous about my pick.GL, and enjoy the show tomorrow. I'm thinking I'm going to have to do a house party and watch the PPV instead of the sports bar - not sure if any sports bars are going to do anything that's not the Patriots game tomorrow night.(Anyone have video of the weigh-in? Apparently Chuck and Wandy almost killed each other...Wandy made a move at Chuck, Chuck stepped back and flipped Wandy off and there was a pull apart. Good
  6. Hijack: Anyone have a link to this article - two things trouble me about the statement "the people who have the most sex are married folks." First, married folks could have sex more than single folks because single folks don't have steady access to someone of the opposite sex who would potentially have sex with them. If they said "married people have more sex than people in relationships" I'd be more inclined to agree.Second, the part where they took a survey in 59 countries worries me. I'd be interested in reading a list of the countries.
  7. The nosebleed players keep many dollars in Full Tilt's bank accounts, where it generates many dollars of interest for them. The nosebleed players contribute a shitload of money to the rake. The nosebleed players generate interest for the site.Businesses care about their best customers - the nosebleed players are Full Tilt's best customers.
  8. I'm tempted to offer a serious answer to this question, but then I'll be flooded with a series of posts saying "You know how I know you're gay?"In the gay community they do far more oral than buttsechs, and at the parades a bunch of them wear shirts saying either "top" or "bottom." Usually the smaller of the two is the catcher.
  9. And Fedor ;)Thanks for the link - I'll check it out.
  10. I'm amazed by the confusion at 2+2 folks at how to play Omaha. Funny thread though.
  11. Ha ha - Vick's going to have many posts to respond to when he gets back.

  13. Sorry for the double post - but the fact that Doug was so excited to post about boy bands that he did it without offer of a stake made me smile
  14. I just wanted to brag that I came in 6th in this tourney yesterday...$17 FTW~!!!Is there some sort of award for the lamest brag post ever?
  15. Gotta give PS support credit for taking the time to work out this chop. Not a big chop, and not a big deal, but they still took care of it like it was the Sunday Million.
  16. That wasn't the question the OP asked - he asked "Should I transfer my bankroll from PS to FT?" You also play full-time at a limit where the rake gets higher than the micros, OP plays micros and I assume puts in far less volume than you do. The answer isn't the same for everyone, and it's a reasonable question."I don't understand these threads." - Zach6668
  17. So I looked at the UFC 80 card, and it might even be harder to handicap than this one. Should be another fun few weeks of discussion in this thread. On UFC's website they made an interesting point about Liddell needing to circle away from Silva to create space to effectively throw his strikes. Cro Cop is the same way, an was able to do it effectively against Silva, but his lateral movement is FAR stronger than Liddell's, especially at 37 (or however old Chuck is). Also - Rogan's doing standup at the Mandalay Bay on Friday for those of you going to Vegas. If you're there, but read this check it
  18. I don't have the problem, but what error message does it give you?
  19. I'm not sure how micro you play, but I play at $0.25/0.50 Stud8 and it turns out to be around a buck or two a day at my volume (I earn about 30-40 FPPs a day on Full Tilt) - probably good for an extra BB or two per 100 hands. Not bad - certainly doesn't hurt.
  20. This is actually exactly because of the current disputes. I didn't watch the special, but Meltzer reported in the WO something about Dana not allowing mentions of Randy Couture or Xtreme Couture. Maybe KDawg or someone with a subscription to the newsletter would be able to fill in the details, but basically it sounds like Dana's getting ready to bury Randy if he won't re-sign.Steve - do you ever watch the show Tapout? They did an episode where the guys were allowed inside The Pit, and it was probably 30 minutes of watching Chuck Liddell's roommate train under Hack. Great great stuff...try to f
  21. I just wanted to respond and say that I hated David Terrell. I'm not sure why, but I hate both him and Nick Diaz. Also, I have a hard time keeping the two straight in my mind, which probably explains why I hate both of them. This is one of my favorite posts in the thread. Training camps say a lot - specifically it says how seriously you take the game. MMA is filled with two kinds of people: tattooed thugs who were the toughest guy in their hometown and the guys who train seriously, take care of their diet, etc... Look at Mac Danzig and George Sotiropolous in the TUF house vs. the guys shitting
  22. I saw it - it probably just sends the chat logs to support. I can't imagine they'd actually send support folks to the tables. But yeah - I'm not clicking it either.
  23. For those of us who hate Matt Hughes, it gets even worse:
