  1. um, i think i am missing what makes this hand so interesting... to me, it looks like you successfully slowplayed a set, and then raised when a potential draw hit the board, and then moved all in against what was probably overpair or a horrible bluff. i mean, you pay off 55 here and you pay off 99 and 98 here. it's just the way it goes. Especially, at stakes this low. I've seen people turn over crap like 93 and 10 7 here! Set over set is just bad variance. Though i take back... probably didnt have an oop
  2. I would call with JJ+ mainly because in events this small you get people pushing with the damndest things. You need the chips, and he could very well have a hand like 10 10. I've even seen some people turn up a hand like 77 here. Gun to my head, I would guess he has AK though.
  3. easy fold. in your position, you should only be opening pots (raise 400) and re pushing if you think you can get the guy to fold or you have a monster hand. By monster I am talking bigger than 10 inches with a diameter of bigger than 3 inches.
  4. YEAH DANIEL! I AM DRUNK IN IRELAND AT 2:18 am. Coming back from the pubs and reading this just made me giddy. So yeah, I told a group of girls today the following: (irish accent) "hi, i am unemployed, homeless, and living with my parents. would you like to go home with me?" at this point they gave me the cold shoulder. then i laughed, turned on my normal voice and said, "hahaha you idiots, i am a rich american! couldn't you tell by the armani exchange gear?!" then i walked down the street laughing. can ya dig it?
  5. people love scotty nguyen, man. Thats no limit, baby. Scotty Nguyen Eliminated by Daniel Negreanu
  6. well put sir. I might fold this in a cash game, but in a tourny where the money is all in the top 3 I would go for doubling my stack early. It depends on the stakes of this tourny too, but I find that players suck even in $100 buy in events. When I first read the hand I thought probably 9 10 or like 10-7. He wouldn't slow play such a low top pair here by just calling... even morons drive out the big cards when they flop piss poor top pair. I think you had the best hand.
  7. Well, I mean to answer you question: it's really hard to get away from, but not impossible. You would have to put him on a set. You misplayed the hand preflop I think. You need to re raise a 1.5 bet to like... at least 5 and probably to 6. By only reraising to 3 you're giving a hand like 55 information that you have a huge hand, and that all he needs to do is flop a 5, and he'll probably stack you. I love when people min re raise me for this exact reason.holla,DynOmite
  8. Well, it depends on two things... at least to me. 1. Are you much better than your opponents. I know that you said one of them was good, but apparently you rule. If you're better than them that don't put your money in if you feel compromised.2. Your read on both opponents. I would guess that the good player probably had a flush draw or J10 on the flop. The only K10 hand that calls you there is K10dd. Bottom line is this: it's highly doubtful that any hand you can beat besides QJ will raise you here. In fact, I don't think there are many dead hands that will call you here. Maybe Ad from
  9. It shows how important it is to be patient. Against super maniacs though, I like to see as many cheap flops as possible. Maniacs suck post flop. If the dude plays well after the flop, then he's not a donk; he's just a sick cash game player. Don't judge a man's ability on his preflop play...ps. since the new server has come up, I've noticed a HUGE increase in the number of interesting and relevant-to-poker strategy posts. Anyone else notice this?
  10. JohnnyBax, Patrik Allthewomen Antonius, Paul kwickfish Wassika, Prahlad friedman, ect. ect. ect. Ivey's pretty sick online too. Then there's that ozzie fellow. They're from all over the place.
  11. Damn straight. i see it through eyes that have not slept for 36 straight hours. Did you know that in over 5000 sngs i've never misclicked? Can i get an amen to that!?

  13. I think anyone who knows anything about the world of poker agrees with you. Hey OP, you know who built my bankroll? Degenerates that put their kids college tuition on the line! You know what i do with that money? I put it in my bathtub and swim in it. AHAHAHAHHAHAHHAGHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!
  14. Thank you, thank you. I aim to please those who do not insist on vomiting goodness all over the rest of us
  15. wonder if karma will get me. oh, wait got a little cramp in my side... and my balls hurt.... plus i'm blind... i'm blind and- oh, wait! all better now.
  16. Hey, i found another mistake! some dumba$$ sat down at a 5K heads up sng! hahahaahahahaha what a moron!
  17. Don't be an idiot and sit down at a 5k sng. How is the "villain" obligated to give the "hero" back his money? The morality card in poker is appropriate when it comes to cheating and collusion. Here, its just nonsense. The "hero" should be thanking his lucky stars that he got 4k back.
  18. you mispelled daniel, sir. Impressive seeing as how his name is plastered all over this site. i am actually looking at it now. For the future, danielle is a girl's name. emphasis is place on the final syllable instead of the second syllable.
