HEM's tourney support isn't nearly as good as its cash game support. The HUD is still useful, but the actual interface for tournaments isn't nearly as polished as PT3s (as of 1 month ago, I've stopped playing poker for a while so correct me if I'm wrong).As far as cash games go, HEM >>> PT3. Less buggy, easier to use, and I think it costs less too?

I can't really prove this or try it out, but I think this is right just the way I think it in my head (I know thats not very reassuring lol). Basically thinking behind it is that the dice roll probabilities make up a matrix that is 6n large because every possible roll adds a new dimension. So one roll is a single row matrix of 6 cells, two rolls is a 6 x 6 matrix, three rolls is a 6 x 6 x 6 matrix etc. Average score for n rolls:(6n + 5n + 4n + 3n + 2n + 1n) / 6nSomeone actually try it out and let me know if it works out. Just a quick note, I've been using Hold'em Manager for the past month, and I don't think I can go back. It's overall just very efficient and runs more smoothly, and the HUD is really customizable with a variety of stats, and just a lot of things to play around with. I sometimes do have problems if I get switched on a table in a tournament, since the HUD doesn't automatically update (maybe its just me, dont know), but I primarily play cash games anyways so I haven't really tried figuring it out. It's tournament support is much worse than PT, so if youre primarily a tourney player until HM comes

Am I really weak if I'm actually considering outright folding on the flop? We're behind AA/KK from the getgo, TT and JJ got there. The draw is incredibly drawy, with us catching none of it (other than the runner runner 3rd nuts). If you have villain on a set, why check-raise the river instead of betting out? Regardless, I don't like checking the river unless you have a specific read, because too often villain will check behind instead of stab at the pot.

I have no doubt that it's unprofitable. I'm hoping that it will help change my postflop play for the better, since I feel one of my major weaknesses is playing the turn and river. I'm rolled for 100NL but haven't moved up because I think my postflop play isn't strong enough. I feel like I'm a winning player at 50NL, but that most of money is from good preflop play, and not good aggressive play from the turn onwards. I'm trying to correct that by playing situations and my opponents rather than my cards, and then implementing it back into my TAG strategy. If anyone has any advice, I'd be glad to

I should have noted in the post to ignore my preflop play. I was playing something like 40/6 for an hour yesterday to try and just purely play postflop (basically raising if I was first in, but flat calling in position a lot and trying to steal pots postflop). I ended the session down a buy-in over 4 tables, but it served its purpose. I'm shoving here, minus a read that villain likes to "do you have an ace or overpair?" minraise, which this kind of looks like. Risking peeling off a flush card, I might try to get villain to hang himself on the turn by 2nd barrelling since our hand really isn't too much danger by anything we beat minus the flush draw. But most of the time, I'm getting it in.

Pretty much what everyone else said, plus make sure you're raising more preflop w/ 2 limpers behind. General rule I like to use is (4 + #of limpers)x bb raises, but everyone likes their own denomination. Just make sure its enough to get people to fold.

I'd probably call off your read. Without a read, just from my own experience with weird shoves, its almost exclusively a pocket pair or AK. Usually a pocket pair on the good side (for you) of TT. Oh and uh convert (check sticky topic) hands, and never post results. Before you get yelled at.
