  1. Thanks for the reply smash, I was just curious. Good luck to you as well.
  2. As far as the first bold statement goes, did you actually just say that? LMAO, I'm not even going to touch that one.As far as the second bold statement goes, I was wondering when you'd get around to pointing that out. So if I said shut off ur pc and go to bed, would you?
  3. Are you insinuating the OP is out of line for creating this thread? If you don't like his post, why bother responding at all? You should learn to use a little more tact in your responses. Maybe they'll teach you that this coming school year.
  4. If you play enough of them you'll get used to it.
  5. Welcome, Todd. New here myself, really enjoy this forum. Aside from a few flaming teens, most members seem nice and more than willing to help.
  6. i'm not totally against the idea of top 10 duking it out or whatever, but i think it's not fair to whoever is 1st on leader board (aka me). i think if we could set it up where you got chips based on your position on leader board then yeahIf FT will set aside a tlb fund for us, couldnt they set this up for us as well? Just a thought. I like the idea of awarding chips based on the tlb rankings.
  7. Six hours for a single table trny? Wow! I've played live rebuys with 70 people that didn't take that long.IMO your levels are running way too long. Normally in our home games we'll increase the blinds every 2 orbits, but even if you reduced your levels to 1/2 hour, there's still plenty of time to play a tight aggressive game.
  8. Wow!! Not only is it surprising no one had a K, its equally surprising no one reraised you. That bet's got scared written all over it. Looks like the best move you made was your table selection, lol.
  9. big nuts. actually what we might be able to do is talk to FT and see if they will take a couple bucks from each entry and put it into an account until are season or whatever is over and give it too leaderboard champ.just a thought. This answer is much better than big nuts, lol.An add on thought: The top 9 on the tlb at the end of the season play an STT for the TLB pool, paying top 3, 2 or 1, or something like that.So we make a leaderboard, which will show the better players over time and then use one tourney where luck is a huge factor to decide prizes?Brilliant!Pogue, you forgot your sw, and

  11. At least he's not being self-righteous. Nothing wrong with being curious.OP: Weekly earnings won't tell you anything. Some of us see thousands of hands per week. There are up weeks and down weeks. Last month, I made $2000. This month, I'm down $500. It's called variance. In general, a good limit hold'em player should expect to make 2BB (big bets) per 100 hands.Your right, sorta, custom. I think OP was looking for an average weekly earning, not what you earned last week. If you took what your ernings have been over the past year and divided that by 52, you'd have a rough idea of what
  12. I like the leaderboard idea, but what's the incentive behind it?
  13. I've seen AK laid down on TV before, as some previous posters have, but never in this situation. Jen was facing a raise and a reraise, but being 4 handed you have to play accordingly. AK in a 4 handed game is a monster, and IMO, the lay down, while displaying good discipline, was incredibly foolish. I understand she wanted to win the tournament but there would be no way I could lay that down in that spot. And it was the best hand of the 3.Note: 2004 WPT champ, I'm UTG with AK suited, blinds are 400/200. I raise to 2k, everyone folds to CO who moves all in and has me covered. After sever
  14. Smash, its apparent your a cash game player, and you're a well respected poster on this forum, so I'd like to know if you've ever tried to play strictly SnGs for an extended period of time. And if so, what size buy ins were you playing? Were they single table, 2 table, or 3 table SnGs? What size br were you playing with? You responded to my statement with a simple no, which doesn't give me much to go on.
  15. I'm in, and I like the $20 buy in idea. Actually, the higher the better.
  16. Play it like you would a normal MTT and you'll be fine.
  17. you still thought getting 2-1 on his money to chase a flush was a good callwhich it isntOK, I'll bite, what are good odds to chase a flush draw? 4 to 1, because those are your odds of making the flush on the turn? So on the river I need 8 to 1 odds? Help me, here. Is this your line of thinking? Please keep in mind I'm not being a smart ass, I truly want to know what you'd consider to be good odds to chase this flush draw on the turn and the river.you have a 4-1 chance of making a flush on the next card, turn or river, doesnt mattermeaning unless you figure to get some implied odds you need

  20. You can actually make more money than cash game players on a smaller bankroll if you know what you're doing. I know the cash game players may flame this, but they have no idea the kind of money I'm making playing $100 SnGs.

  22. No other streets were suspect? My son, you are a fish.after the flop and the turn he was getting over 2 to 1 odds on his money. With 4 to a flush, those calls were good. Learn the game before you call someone a fish, donk.Ill just shut up up nowon the flop there are $12 in the pot (2 limp/folded, Hero and Vilans $5)Hero bets $8 meaning Villan is getting 3-2 on the call, which is less then 4-1, which are the odds of hitting the flush on the next card, bad callTurn $28 in pot, Hero bets $20, again now Villan is getting worse than 3-2, so that is an even more horrible callBut he was getting 2-
