  1. this site ****ing blows.i don't know what it is about it, but i just can't stand the software and i swear the card generator is rigged.i just played a 10 person SNG that lasted an hour and a half. we had 5 people left for an hour. every single time someone was all in, no matter how big of a dog they were, they won. probably about 15 consecutive short-stack all-in wins.i've played 3 $5 SNGs and i've bubbled out every single time. something isn't right here.
  2. Danny Nguyen is probably the perfect prototype for a NLHE tournament player.
  3. He could have chopped without being eliminated.
  4. One of CardPlayers most insightful updates thus far:
  5. Just to clarify, I'm not a beginner to poker, just to online poker. I've been playing live games with friends/people in my dorm for a couple of years now.But PokerStars sounds good. Thanks for the advice.Do they have any good bonuses right now?
  6. well i'm down to $2.93 right now, so i'll let you know when a miracle happens.
  7. I'd imagine that with those limits no one would ever fold to any bet, so for learning a game wouldn't I be just as well off to play the free money tables? Also, what is the level of competition on Stars?
  8. So, from a combination of brutal suckouts, questionable moves, and a little bit of tilt, I have managed to lose $71 of my $75 from www.instantbankroll.com, so I'm looking for a better place to play online than Party Poker.I'm not trying to become a pro or anything, and I really am not too worried about building my bankroll a whole lot (although it would be nice). I just want a site that I can play on from time to time just for fun and break even on.I play a lot of different games, but I really only feel comfortable risking money playing hold'em right now. I've never played limit in my life,
  9. next thing you know, people are going to be calling golf a sport
  10. Check out this highly intelligent update from CardPlayer: So both Ivey and Hellmuth folded, and yet they still managed to showdown their hands.
  11. Congrats...now take the winnings and learn to read. Although if your SnG was televised, I take it back.Ever heard of Poker Night Live? It's on the new British Poker channel and televises online poker games on a 10 minute delay.
  12. i laid down pocket kings on a board of JT8 after I was check raised all-in a few days ago. Two hands later I mucked top two after the guy I was playing turned his flush.I ended up winning the 30 person sit-n-go, so I'd say they were pretty good laydowns.
  13. no, he just didn't want to lose the bigger chips because, for some reason, people value them higher than the same $ value in a smaller chip.
  14. called an all-in preflop with JJ, guy had AK.spike a jack on the flop and I'm up to 5,000.
  15. haha i just hit 2 rivers in a rowi was running out of chips so i raised it up on the button with a K8s, missed the flop completely and went all in. some guy made a good call and called me with an A8 high, then I spiked my king on the river and I'm back up to 2,600.
  16. had a guy call a 5x BB raise with a 68s and ended up bluffing off half my stack to him with a queen high after he flopped 2 pair.
  17. what a moronic statementWhy...it was a very good statement...your statement makes you a moron or possibly a pathetic fish....Let me guess....you thought that the Dark Check was cool and a great play in that spot!! :roll:First off, have you seen every hand played during the WSOP since Varkonyi won? If not, how can you possibly have collected enough data to decipher that this was, indeed, the worst play since 2002?Second, you don't "do" plays, you "make" them.
  18. Kasher is one hell of a lyricist, and Cursive and The Good Life are two of my favorite bands, but personally, I prefer Connor's lyrics.I listen to GY!BE because I appreciate incredible talent. Any guy who can write music for every instrument of the symphony orchestra and perform it himself definitely gets insane respect from me. His music is so vivid and tells a complete story. It's like watching a movie through music. As for The Mars Volta; it's just a lot of the same. Those guys are such incredible musicians. I'm definitely more of an ATDI fan, but TMV is probably a more complete band.
  19. Yeah, I bet you've got nothing but The Ataris and All-American Rejects...IceHmm, good try, but not quite.Actually, these are some of my favorite bands, feel free to tell me how much they suck, but you will be wrong:The Arcade FireAt The Drive-InBaneBright EyesBroken Social SceneColdplayConvergeDavid BowieDeath Cab For CutieThe DecemberistsThe Dillinger Escape PlanExplosions In The SkyThe Get Up KidsGodspeed You! 20. oh, great.i wasn't sure if it was just like a revised/newer version, or a completely different book.i looked in B&N the other day, but couldn't find it, is it pretty hard to find and should i just order it from amazon or something, or should i be able to find it locally?
  21. i haven't read volume 1 yet.is it worth me picking up both, or are they rather similar?
  22. talented and driven angry feminist censored. She runs her own indie label and has for years, if I remember correctly. hujy6 <-- sorry, that is me attempting to save my keyboard from Red Bull death.Oh yeah, she's definitely extremely talented, no arguement there.Just seems weird for a guy to be listening to such angry feminist music.
