  1. the great implied odds are only there if both he and dustin have huge stacks. mike only starts with max buyin
  2. Kowboy, he may or may not go down as one of the top five tournament players of all time, but that is not what is being discussed here by daniel and some others. Daniel is saying that NOW phil's game is only good enough to put him as one as of the top 60 tourny players. Most of Phil's accomplishments, while impressive, occurred before this huge boom of poker, and before the huge boom of online poker. They are still impressive, but what I and others are saying is that if he started his career today and played the same kind of poker he's playing now and has been his whole career, he would NOT
  3. OK, thanks, and..... Thats what i like to hear.
  4. Well, i disagree with your disagreement. haha. I mean, come on. Sure, at the lower limits the game would fill up because a big name pro is there, but that is just not the case at 50/100NL. These guys are putting thousands of dollars on the table, most being pros, and they are doing so more often when phil is there because they have a better chance to win. Some of these guys, prahlad, mike matasow, and several online pros, are certainly not in awe of phil. Again, i'm not saying I personally would have success against him, or that the high majority of people out there would. However, I do,
  5. Yes, there is no doubt he is a great tournament player (hence, the 9 bracelets). But, compared to the cash game players he plays against (NOT THE CASH GAME PLAYERS AT FCP...LOL) he is simply not very good. This is why, for example, the game at UB 50/100, the only place I have ever watched him play cash games, fills up IMMEDIATLY when he sits down. It isnt because people enjoy his company.
  6. Hellmuth tilts easily, and when he does, he plays very weakly, making him easy to bully around, from what I can see. Loses a ton playing on UB 50/100 NL as well.
  7. Those swings are very normal at those limits. Thats why most people who play them should have around 10k AT LEAST in their poker bankroll to feel comfortable about downswings. Obviously it's hard to say why you arent consistantly winning without seeing you play. You probably arent doing something right, but no one is going to be able to guess what that is, unfortunatly.
  8. First, you're definatly playing WAY above your bankroll. Second, the raising hands dont change based on the limits. They are pretty much the same at all limits. The things that change them are position (most important), the people at your table, how many are sitting at your table, etc. If you think you are not a very good player or are not the best at the table, do not buy in for the max, but if you believe you are the best at the table you should be buying in for the max.The question you ask does not have a simple, clear cut answer. This is why people are criticizing you. You should not
  9. My guess is that you also dont think enough about position when playing. Play loose aggressive in position, tight and smart out of position. If you or anyone wants to become a great NL cash game winner I would highly recommend the website cardrunners.com, with instruction from some of the best internet cash game players, including Green Plastic on ultimate bet, who plays and beats 50/100 NL.
  10. Yeah, because there's no variance in heads-up and 3 handed NLHE. Right.I dislike custom36 more with each post. Stop acting like a know-everything, sadistic, insecure prick. Just enjoy life and stop being a pain in people's a.sses. Damnit.
  11. Man if you don't see the point, you really are thick . . .Show me one outside advertisement on PartyPoker's tables right now. Just one.HAHHAHA....dude, chief, buddy, I suggest you find and buy a sense of humor at the lowest possible price as quickly as possible. Gonna be a miserable rest of life for you without one. Just enjoy things - no need to take them seriously, or find a point to them. Relax. Enjoy.
  12. disgusting comment. It must be nice to be able to be so critical of everything. I like it diabolical; well done
  13. well, I dont know that for sure, but this picture just taken from aruba wpt sure backs it up..... yikes, baby.
  14. Not a very exciting post, but I noticed that when playing headsup cash games at party and pokerstars the button is last to act preflop, while at fulltilt and others the button is first to act preflop. Was curious why there was this difference between the two and which was considered better.
