  1. If I can actually book a reasonably priced flight from NYC to Vegas (under $350), I'll be there. Having some trouble with that but it's probably just due to my own laziness. Hoping to be there from the 25th through the 28th, but the actual dates are flexible within a day or so either way on both ends of the trip. In between my sessions with the fishies, I'd be happy to play with some FCP'ers at the kiddie tables. Of course, I'd also be happy to play in one of Daniel's infamous home game SNG's. Hey, a guys allowed to dream, right?
  2. If you are that concerned, I would recommend just posting your microlimit hand as a 3/6 hand in the other section. The strategies are the same and you will get more responses
  3. I still say that Tim played this hand like a champ, but I'm still curious if we play this hand the same if the turn is not the Ace. I would tend to think we are in the same WA/WB place either way... although perhaps it's slightly less likely that he has an Ace when the board pairs, so C/C might be OK either way.
  4. Looks good to me considering no reads. My question for you is If the turn isn't an Ace, what's your line? Donk bet/fold? Still play C/C... or C/F?
  5. Case:Haven't read all of the responses, but here are a couple of thoughts.Until the blinds get very large compared to chip stacks, I always preflop raise to at least 3x the BB as a minimum.I'd overbet the pot on the flop. I like to make sure that if someone is going to outdraw me, they gotta pay for it. This does a couple of things. 1. A lot of times, if they've got a little set, they'll push, and you can get away from it cheaply SOMETIMES... note, with this flop it's still gonna be tough to get away from it early in a tourney w/o reads. 2. It allows you to charge the draw while the pot
  6. Not to be one of those negative dudes, but, if I had any money I'd give odds on Daniel postponing the announcement.Seriously, I love the man like the Canadian brother I never had, but hasn't this announcement been pending since the summer? And what ever happened with Stacked??? That said, if I had to actually pick what his announcement is supposed to be, I'm going to say that I think he's starting a Poker TV show of his own in Canada. Seriously, if he is throwing some huge party just to say he is joining an online site I may just throw up a little.
  7. I PM'ed Custom about this error yesterday. Haven't heard back from him.
  8. If true, that's a pretty silly idea. Who the fuck is going to pay to watch Live at the Bike replays??
  9. Why are you not leading an Ace on the river?
  10. So, the real question is, does Poker Blue pay these guys to play like donkeys, and/or just throw in the hot chicks for free?

  15. He didn't let him see a free flop. He raised, and then just decided to call the reraise. Pushing in there may have been my move... but meh, he probably ended up disguising his Aces better the way he played it.

    custom36....

Custom's good people. I gotta admit I was kinda surprised when I came back here after my little hiatus to see a few new mods, but I think it's great for the site that the new mods are from the strat section, because, IMHO and to be quite blunt, I think they just care about the site more than others. BTW, there were some really really bad threads up here before. Racism for one, and I'll never, ever, ever forget that horrific old man gay porn thing. Burned into my eyes forever.... Anyway, I don't think it's a bad thing having a little more moderation, and JayWeb couldn't do it alone.
  17. What makes a good poker player:You got to know when to hold ’em, know when to fold ’em,Know when to walk away and know when to run.Never count your money when you’re sittin’ at the table. There’ll be time enough for countin’ when the dealin’s done. Ok, sorry for the smart ass response.Honestly, I think most people knows what makes a good poker player, but it's easier said than done.1. Bankroll management.2. Playing the player, not the cards.3. Ability to take mental notes on villains whether or not you are in a hand.4. Protecting hands properly, no FPS.5. Discounting outs appropriat
  18. Hey Gang:I'm planning to be in Vegas from about the 24th to the 28th of December. For those of you who happen to be out there, or live there, maybe we can grab a drink and or play some cards. First round of shots on me fellas... although I may come to regret that if the entire FCP at Work Army shows up. Peace.
  19. OK... here's one last one for tonight.
  20. Mr. Negreanu, the Christmas poo.
  21. My purpose was not to get into equating gun purchases with online gambling. To be honest, the sale of alcohol to minors might be the better of the two analogies, but again, that's not the point. Also, I'm not arguing for censorship at all. Actually it's quite the reverse. What I'm saying is that if sites do not take efforts to prevent those players who have no right to be on their site, in the end it will end up leading to the very censorship that neither one of us wants. It will make it even easier for the scumb like Kyl to push through thought-police type bills. And yes, it is silly and
  22. Dude... I didn't say that parents should have no responsibility, what I was countering was the idea that parents should have full responsibility and the sites should be free to do whatever they want. And yes, I was being a little liberal by taking his idea to the next step, but it's equally ludicrious to say that the online sites should have no responsibility.
  23. Ben:No offense, but this logic is just silly.Taking your point one step further, gun stores shouldn't be prohibited from selling guns to minors, because it really should be the parents responsibility. And bars should be able to serve to minors also.Yes, parents deserve some responsibility, but why should the sites not want to promote responsible gaming? If things get especially bad... rampant underage gambling, fraud cases, high compulsive gambling increases, the government will get involved, and bills such as the one presented by Kyl will begin to pass. This won't be good for them, nor for
