  1. People:It is not "clever" or "sophisticated" to call huge reraises out of position with hands that are CERTAIN to be a severe underdog to the opponent's reraising range when said player has a medium-short stack. It's just losing poker, and it can be mathematically proven. In short, it is impossible to make money in the long run in these situations because you can't make enough money when you outflop your opponent These are the kind of mistakes that the best players in the Party 10/20 NL NEVER (barring misclicks) make, but they are being made by some of the players on HSP. There is the remo
  2. 1. Live 10/20 plays like online 2/4.2. Daniel's reports of playing blind seem to reflect perhaps 200 hands or so.3. Daniel wasn't playing a select group of players; he was playing a bunch of tourists who happened to be in the same casino at the same time.4. I'm not sure that Daniel could sit down right now and beat the 50/100 NL on UB over say, 100k hands.
  3. 1. I didn't say that they would beat the five best live players in the world, only that they could make money against the lineup on HSP. 2. Some of the online players of whom I speak have considerable live game experience as well. You realize that playing online doesn't preclude the possibility of sitting down in a casino as well?3. What a strange list. Is Poker Superstars on right now or something? 4. Since you are so confident in your horses, are you willing to lay odds?
  4. The best 10-20 regulars probably understand NLHE cash games better than most of the HSP crowd. Moreover, they have probably played more hands of NLHE than most of the people on that show. Also, there are a few people sitting in the game who are not very good at all. So, I don't think it would come as any surprise if some online specialist had an edge in that game.Obviously bankroll concerns, live reads, tv cameras, intimidation and the like might mitigate their edge, but by the same token, if say, Daniel or Sammy Farha (or really anyone who doesn't play NLHE exclusively) sat down to play 10
  5. This is where you get a chance to prove what kind of poker player (and man) you truly are. Will yourself to be coolheaded about this and not make tilt plays. Be honest about whether you are the victim of bad cards or your own poor decisions. Are you chasing your losses? Trying to make up for bad luck through exotic plays? Sometimes 'bad runs' amount to a self-fulfilling prophecy: if you begin to think that you are cursed, then you manifest that reality in your play. I hope this is not the case here, but I would advise you to share your hand histories with a good player who can give you
  6. gg, daniel I'd lay a big price that this is 100% bogus. Even if someone did say it, that isn't the opinion of the big game players, that I can assure you.You are responding to posts, but not playing 500-1k with me. How come??? All of those posts are pure bogus... as for playing you, I'm not going to play you short. My wire won't be here till tomorrow when I'll be celebrating Christmas. I'll be sitting at a table late on the 26th. You'll get your chance to go broke, man you are anxious! LOL.Glad you're not going to play me short. Glad I'll 'have my chance' to leap the great Daniel Negre
  7. Chris Ferguson is more recognizable to the average viewer than at least three people on your list. More recognizeable certainly, but I said more popular. People love to hate Hellmuth and Matusow, and both make for good television because they are engaging characters. Chris cuts carrots with cards... pretty neat trick, but not exactly one that has people oogling over him.His recognizability equals ratings....period. Not to the same extent as Matusow and Hellmuth, sure, but probably as much as you and more than Ivey. If we're just talking about who brings the viewers, here's the breakdown,
  8. Are you implying that Chris Ferguson is not one of the most recognizable players out there? No, I believe DN's point is that there are plenty of other recognizable players that are still playing so it doesn't matter if one doesn't show. Even more so, if the top 10 recognizable players suddenly stopped playing, I don't think it would cause much harm to WPT viewership (provided there isn't a big public outing as to WHY they aren't playing).ZaraThe only ones who matter are Hellmuth and possibly, The Mouth.

  10. That was probably the crunkest post I've ever read!
  11. How come you never post affiliate spam to RGP anymore? Too busy "owning?"
  12. This may be true, but one tends to act in a way which is in line with the community standards. To fault internet HU specialists for not behaving like high limit B&M pros seems a bit unfair; that's not their world. You CAN, however, fault them for being inarticulate douchebags who don't understand a basic gambling concept. As far as I can tell, the recipe for success in HU online poker is:1) A big bankroll2) An inferiority complex3) A thin grasp on reality
  13. The rest of the poker world hasn't been saying that- Barry has. It would be equally foolish to assume that Barry is a winner in the big game just because "he says so." All Howard said was that he's too busy right now to be focusing on the big game. I don't know if he could win in that game right now, but that's irrelevant. Barry is GREEN with envy that Howard gets so much media attention. Jealous is not the word.TIER him a new one....GREEN with envy....the pun-o-meter is going to explode! Are you hoping to BARRY him in the HU duel?
