People:It is not "clever" or "sophisticated" to call huge reraises out of position with hands that are CERTAIN to be a severe underdog to the opponent's reraising range when said player has a medium-short stack. The best 10-20 regulars probably understand NLHE cash games better than most of the HSP crowd. Moreover, they have probably played more hands of NLHE than most of the people on that show. Also, there are a few people sitting in the game who are not very good at all. Chris Ferguson is more recognizable to the average viewer than at least three people on your list. More recognizeable certainly, but I said more popular. People love to hate Hellmuth and Matusow, and both make for good television because they are engaging characters. This may be true, but one tends to act in a way which is in line with the community standards. To fault internet HU specialists for not behaving like high limit B&M pros seems a bit unfair; that's not their world.
