  1. www.bonuswh*res.com is a great website for checking out the different bonuses and comparing different sites. I believe the biggest bonus is the $200 Pokerroom bonus. You can also get a 50% bonus of up to $100 (so you need to deposit $200 to fully take advantage) at Paradise poker by using the bonus code "GRANNY".Here are is a link to a great post on 2+2 concerning bonuses and bonus whoring.http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showthre...art=&PHPSESSID=
  2. Great post, I also like how you comment on the other players plays and what they should have done or what they were thinking about, even though some of them were tards. On the JTs where you were thinking about going for overcalls... I dont think that was the right place for overcalls. They seemed like a calling station type of players and were capable of calling two cold on the river, so since thats the case I think you made the right play.
  3. With that post you'll have to change your handle from RISINGSHARK to SINKINGPUSSYThat made me laugh for a good 27 seconds.
  4. I think it suggests loosening up your standards for calling from the SB because you have extremely high pot odds to call because you are only putting in a half a small bet as compared to in late position where your pot odds aren't as high. The reason it is better to raise from late position is than it is from the SB is because in late position you get to see everyone act before you and put in that last bet for value or check to get the free turn card (this wouldn't have happened if you didn't raise preflop) When raising from the SB you are first to act and with much less information. That is
  5. How many BB's was that? (too lazy to figure it out)
  6. Great, thanks for the response. I'll be buying the WLLH and SSHE and be reading WLLH first. Thats the general consensus I've been getting when talking to others as well. Thanks.
  7. Well I've went on a bit on a downturn so i've decided it's best I learn as much as there is to learn about low limit poker before I continue playing. This was also increase my confidence.Well, my question is, I am going to buy 2 books but am looking at 3 right now.The choices are Winning Low-Limit Hold'em, Small Stakes Hold 'em: Winning Big With Expert Play, and Super System 2.I would really like to get SSHE and SS2. I feel from what I have read on forums and so on, that SSHE is quoted most often and it fairly essential. I would also like to get SS2 because I would like to learn about other
  8. It's voodoo, also, as smash always says, you need a pattern mapper.
  9. Do you know how many factors would have to be taken into consideration? First of all, whose all in the pot, which ones have cashed out recently, what cards to deal to who, have this happen hand after hand and have no one have any idea this is going on. Making it perfectly conscrete so that its hardly provable but a few people might be suspicious. What if the out needed for the ridiculous bad beat was in someone elses hand that was folded preflop? Same with the cards on the flop needed to give both, or perhaps multiple people in the hand the impression that they are best only to have the ri
  10. Haha, i love these posts. It usually brightens up my day and makes me giggle for a little bit. But perhaps while we are on this topic, do you have any idea how hard it would be to program Partypoker so that everything your saying is true? Just think about it, it's ludicrous.
  11. Thanks for the responses. Next time I solve all of this and don't limp with A-9s in a tight game. One thing I dont understand is why it is incorrect to call a Heads up raise in the BB with A9s or A10s but it is correct if you have limped, and then to call the heads up raise. Actually, just did the math and its 3.5 to 1 on your call in the BB as compared to 4.5 to 1 on your call after you've limped.I'm learning! Maybe later today or tomorrow I will have another 5 trouble hands to post. Till then. See yah.
  12. Actually, don't understand this line "lose 3.5+0.5 bets 1 in 12 times". Where does the extra 0.5 bets come from when I lose? (we're assuming its checked/called down, correct?)
  13. Just read your most recent post, thanks for explaining the math detailed like that, I read it a few times and understand it and it will make my decision if this situation comes up again alot easier.I used to play NL usually with a group of guys. Never really understand the theory or concepts behind NL, so I dont know if there is much to change haha.. Most of all my skills in NL were not playing the cards but playing the people. I haven't played NL online, and know I wouldn't fare well.
  14. Thanks for the props and for the help. I really want to learn this and be successful. When I put my mind to something I usually go all out.One last comment.Hand #3I understood the 3 betting was for value. My reasoning by just calling his raise (if he did raise me on the flop), and then check raising the turn, is that I will get an extra 0.5BB if he calls me down to the river as opposed to 3betting the flop and then having him call my turn bet and my river bet.So lets assume for now, that in this hand I bet and then was raised on the flop. I want to study these two options.Option #1Calling
  15. Yes, for Hand #1 I meant on the flop. However after rereading everything, I've decided I will fold this preflop or check/call all the way down if i do call and the ace flops. So many people overplay Axo in 0.5-1.00 that I believe it is worth calling down. Thanks for all the help.
  16. Just read the last 2 posts.Hand #1I find it hard to keep track of all the tables and which ones are loose and which ones are passive. I need to work on this. I will now fold preflop A9s and JTs in a tight game and similar hands, thanks.Hand #3I check/raise the flop, bet turn and river next time. All agree?
  17. Thanks for the response, I really do appreciate any feedback I get. I do however have some questions.Hand #1I still feel from my experience after the limp, I should still call. I feel when an ace does flop (also a limited amount of time), the people are usually calling stations no matter if an ace is on the flop or not, and most will call me down to the river with absolutely anything. I still feel it is worth calling preflop with A9s headsup or the other hands you mentioned. I might try the 3 betting preflop, then calling the cap and check/folding the turn, does that make more sense? Anyon
  18. "Tell them to stop. There have been studies. 60% of the time, it works every time. "Funniest post I've read since I've started lurking on here. Absolute perfect implementation of a great quote from a great movie.
  19. Hey, anytime I've just had a hand where I feel it was strange or something went wrong, or I wasn't too sure about a certain call/raise/fold I made, I immediately email the HH to my email and then try to go over it. I have five problem hands for you experts out there, nothing really exciting, but I just have some questions. I haven't read the Ed Miller or Sklansky and Malmouth books in low limit holdem yet (waiting till after finals), so some of my reasoning is most likely off. Also, Sadly to say, I don't have PT or GT+ going on to have any solid reads.Hand #1***** Hand History for Game 177482
  20. Great advice thanks, the results usually dont affect how I play as I get just as much pleasure in knowing I played the hand perfectly than in winning the pot (may sound strange). I am going to play another 500 hands and may post 5 or so that were iffy. Thanks again.
  21. Thanks for the responses, next time I will only post 5 hands. The reason I have 110$ on one of the tables is that when I lose a few pots or am down on one table, i just randomly add any amount to that table so that I forget I was down and it helps prevent me from going off my game and tilting. With regards to Hand #2, I felt a turn bet wouldn't pick up the pot so i decided to check it down and see if he was calling with overcards that didn't hit. For Hand #3, I have been debating whether to raise first in with pocket 9's or not. I feel I have trouble playing it postflop when overcards hit, and
  22. There we go, thats what I was trying to get across.
  23. Hey, just thought I'd post some hands and get some critiquing. I'm not sure if I went wrong in these hands, but I felt there was some key decisions and I am not sure If I made the right ones. Any comments are welcome on some or all the hands, thanks. The results will be in white as to not affect anyones comments. 24. I 4 table 0.5-1.00 on party, and I dont know, might be just me, but 12BB/100 is a crazy high win rate. I dont think you'll be making 3BB/100 for each table...also, the good thing about 4 tabling limit is that its much easier to play since its more mechanical and mathematical. With regards to 4 tabling NL, the trouble with that is that reads are so critical when playing cash NL, and it's going to be tough to keep up and have dead on reads. But NL might be overall more profitable...
  25. Haha, I know exactly what you mean. There have been many times where I have been raised and figured its time to go into check/call mode thinking there is a good chance I am beat, but with the pot laying me good enough odds that i should call it down, and I actually win. Also, the thing with partypoker is that I honestly believe that I am immune to bad beats now. They happen so often that it doesn't really affect me, I expect it. It still doesn't effect in my play (as in 6 limpers and I will stay raise with JJ or QQ in late position when some others who have had enough bad beats will only cal
