  1. We're suited.I fail to see why this isn't an easy decision.
  2. I'd be more concerned about getting max value than worrying about getting check raised.
  3. It's actually a pretty sound system. If you double your stakes everytime you lose, you're bound to profit since the one time you win will make up for all the times you've lost. You just have to make sure that every time you win, you drop back down. So many people don't remember this and get greedy. That's why so many people bust their bankrolls. Proper bankroll management is key to beating this game.
  4. Someone needed to comfort Babylon after getting kicked out of the Rio. TWICE
  5. One took the blue pill. One took the red pill.
  6. Meh, I don't mind troll posting if it's followed by something that actually wants to discuss the hand. And really, there's no benefit to shoving in that hand.

  9. Finally got around to watching your video James.8:00- I'd complete the Q8o. Getting 7:1 with 2 limpers in the pot we're getting odds to just try to flop 2 pair or better.8:05- The K3 you can bet the turn to get value from draws but I don't mind your line either.10:40- The AK and AA I'm fine with how you played.14:25- I'd bet 0.7 with the QQ. The board is super draw heavy and we want to charge draws more to chase. And Jx or 8xXc is never folding, so increasing our bet sizing won't lose value.20:50- Cbet size with the JJ should be around $1.4-$1.6.23:50- If this were a rainbow board with the AK
  10. Yea I agree. Didn't think completely through on that.Though I think that enforces the point that a ton of boards suck to call down on.
  11. Calling with hands like 88 to 3bets OOP just leaves us in rly rly gross spots. I'm all for playing back against light 3betters, but it's not going to be easy calling multiple barrels and be confident that we're ahead. How would we handle a double barrel on a Q65J board? AKQ4? K1057? Even boards like K752? Q623? The times we are ever super comfortable is when we manage to have an overpair, which is so so rare. For players grinding the lower limits, this is a spot where I'd just fold and save ourselves the trouble. If we want to call, we have to be able to put villain on a range of hands he can h
  12. My personal biggest flaw would simply be not thinking hands through. By that I mean accurately putting players on ranges, and acting accordingly (usually fail on the second part more than the first). But the biggest mistake I see from a lot of players is pure arrogance. Some players in the low limits think that they have most of the right answers, when the truth is that they are still in the learning process and are still making mistakes. And when players that play higher limits try to help them out, their ego gets in the way of taking the criticism in the right way.
  13. This. Poker has gotten tougher for sure, but it's still very very beatable. Helps that a lot of people that have improved will never get passed 100NL.
  14. I want the fish in the pot more than I want the reg in.
