  1. pokerstars/UBAs for reviewing my hands, I know. I'm taking a week off and will be watching and studying CR videos and PXF videos and reading a ton to get back into a good frame of mind.OOPS...i just put the stats into excel (I find myself waiting longer to update excel when I am losing and thus just did it now)....and only 1/2 of it is cash games. I lost 1350 in 400NL cash and 1250 in HU sngs...nasty streak in those...last ten games i won 1. So yea...In 2000 hands I'm down 1350....and the rest is in HU sngs...is that more normal?
  2. it's about 2k hands. What stop loss limit should I do? Is 1k too early to stop for the day at 400NL?
  3. I almost said yes in the poll, but then I realized it'd be a lie because I'm not in vegas. I think that playing live, with only 10k for a BR is going to be a big long grind. I'm assuming you'll be playing 200NL and you'd get in 30 hands per hour if you're lucky. If you play for 40 hours per week, thats only 12000 hands. Online, you could get that many hands about 16x as fast if you 4 table 8 hours a day. Let's assume you're incrdible and can sustain 15bb/100 hands...that means $60/100 hands, or about $18/hour. That's not even that much.I wish you luck but think that you might want to grind a 4
  4. I'm starting this thread to let steam out so don't bother it if you don't like people complaining. I recently moved up from 200NL to 400NL and things started out well. May ended well and June started out horrendously. So far, over the past 2 days i'm down $2600US. Yes...it's only 6.5 buy ins but that's a big number. My question is to people who play 400NL and maybe even 600NL (the winners at those levels that is)...what kind of up and down days do you experience? what's an average good/bad day and what is considered horrendous day? I mean, I'm well rolled for 400NL (about 80 buy ins left) but
  5. so how do you proceed on the turn if you: 1) turn a flush 2) turn 2pair 3) turn trips 4) blank turns

  7. i play 2-4 tables and it's not difficult. I wouldn't be able to play more than five whether I was LAG or TAG.
  8. When seleting a table, I've alway looked at the table averages before deciding which one to join and looked for high avg. pots. My style is LAG and if I'm playing in a LAG table, is it optimal? I'm sitting at a passive table, and am running over it right now and am thinking that maybe it's +EV for a LAG to look for tables with low avg. pots and for a TAG to look for tables with high avg pots. Thoughts? sry if u read this in strategy...only 4 views in an hour there
  9. i agree. I have almost 100 buyins for the limit that I'm playing.i play SH and HU 400NL

  12. Can someone who knows something about the situation with the american dollar please give me some advice. I have a lot of money on online poker sites and i cash out my money under my mom's name who lives in canada. So I'm losing lots of money because of how crappy the dollar is doing. So what advice would you give me? Because from what I read on google and various sites is that the american dollar is going to go on a big decline. Please no stupid replys...i want serious info..ty
  13. I did win 6k in the 1st 3 weeks of May, but then went on a bad downswing and lost 2k putting me down to 4k. But I went on a good streak and had some big days on the 4th week of May which got me to my goal. I moved to 400NL in the last couple of days of May, maybe a week ago and only put in 2500 hands in it. Alltogether, for cash games I've put in 15000 hands, the rest of the profit came from HU sng's (100 and 200).PM me your msn and I'll add you if you're interested in talking poker etc..
  14. yes. cardrunners is useless..don't spend your money on it
  15. reached my May goal today. goals were:make 8ksustain 8bb/100 in 200NLsustain 6bb/100 in 400NLAccomplished:made $802013bb/100 in 200NL9bb/100 in 400NLweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  16. i play both but specialize in a 'certain' sit and go type and SH cash game...it's all about preference...you can make good money in both but it's hard to compare where you can make more because it's difficult to tell what 400NL is equivalent to in terms of sit and go's.
  17. hey, every time i open it, it is the size of my entire monitor. How do i change it back so it's a small part of the screen so I don't have to minimize it. Because when I minimize it, it disappears and i dont know how to make it reappear...please help.
  18. i've heard that you can data mine at full tilt. Personally, I've never played there before but am thinking of getting an account and depositing some money. How do you data mine and do you use PA hud? ty
  19. raise flop..as played...raise turn to 54 and call a shove.
  20. I prefer calling here and if board pairs betting out 3/4 of pot and if it doesn't, check/call is fine.
  21. i believe the most tables someone can play effectively, adjusting to opponents' tendencies etc.. is playing 4 tables or less. I personally play 2 but that's because UB doens't give adjustable tables and it overlaps badly if i play more than 2. 5 buy in swings is NOT a lot. I play 2 tables and I have those swings...it just makes the long run show itself quicker. a bad week is represented in one day when you play that many tables. On the other hand, your up days are going to be a lot bigger as well.Play 6 tables. Youll more than increase the your ptbb/100 to make up for the lack of tables...i'm
