I read up on this game today and I gotta say I'm fascinated by it. Seems like a game a knowledgeable player could win a lot at in home games simply because bad players are going to catch decent to good hold 'em hands and be up against better Manila hands. Anyway, anyone play often? I'd like to learn some good strategy. I don't play much poker other than Hold 'Em and am looking to learn a bunch of games to play in a mixed home game...this one might be a good one to bring to the table.

I feel I played really really well (thanks Mr. Harrington!) and of course caught some amazing cards at the end (seriously I got no action but I had KK, a set of 2's, trip 9's, flopped the nut straight with a backdoor straight/straight flush draw, 2 pair, etc.) to no avail until he pushed with Q 10 against my KK (caught for the 2nd time). I went out 1572nd....didn't make any mistakes, was actually playing pretty well. My QQ lost to KK in preflop against a stack that was a little bigger than half of mine, after that it was a battle. The hand I went out on was:Me: Q 10 offHim: A 9 offI raised in late position with 1 limper, me and the blinds in...villain calls. Flop: K J 7 I push in, he calls instantly. Didn't hit an A, Q, 10 or 9 and was out to ace high. Unfortunate but what can ya do.
