  1. Avoiding all smaller discussions. . .I know a few guys that act like Apes does that count?I thought it pretty creative to do all this with really only 4 options TACG. Technically we are all made out of the same goop anyway. I guess it is the 2% that makes us special. Actually, I think you have to look at the idea of a Spirit. Most Christians believe that all humans have a spirit element and every other creature does not. It is not the "body" that gets to go to heaven, but he "soul."
  2. As others have pointed out, these are not mutually exclusive. Watching movies, buying expensive coffee, eating crap food, all have elements that can be termed sinful. However Crowtrobot makes a valid point. Most Christians, if they believed what they say they believe, should change a lot about thier lives with a renewed focus. He's pretty hard core about his viewpoint so he makes it black or white. In the midst of trying to save the world, are Christians allowed to have some fun on the way?
  3. I was working it though, right. Maybe I should have started off my sentence with "My fellow Americans. . ."
  4. Whatever makes you happy. JK. Hate to see a guy working it all alone. Its a dark, dark, mixed up world.Just trying to keep some good dialogue going. I got your back brutha.

  6. Drop the race stuff. That was nothing. My momma used to beat me like that. That was just one nasty stick.
  7. Bad move on his part. But come on, we are the ones that watched "Mystery Science Theatre 3000" and loved it.Bring on the cheese
  8. Come on. Does that mean everyone not in a religion has a wonderful life? I actually have a pretty fulfilled life that might go on without a belief in God. Most of us go through periods of suckiness anyway.Right and wrong statement is closer. OP response. Decieved. That is the real view of one group vs. another. It doesn't imply stupidness, just deception. As I think you know, a Christian for example, believes that there is God and good. He/she also believes that there is Satan and bad. Those that are not believers in God or Christ, are there by decieved by Satan who is actively worki
  9. If you start at the premise of God only, then yeah you want to know where is he and why can't I see him. When you hear that you can't see him it feels ackward and untrue. Common sense for me is looking outside and saying, "dang, this is a pretty amazing world." Sure, if I lived in Ethiopia right now, I might feel differently but he sure did get Hawaii right. Personally, I find it hard to believe that we just happened or that a series of atoms collectively joined forces to mutate into a man. Starting there, looking for God is not the first leap. Finding out if and how he is communicating
  10. My thought on the OP,Man is inherently evil. With or without organized religion evil happens because our root nature is self preservation. Self preservation and fear make a deadly cocktail. Sometimes self preservation produces order, but other times it means anarchy. We all have potential for good, but we all exhibit strong potential for bad also. I can be your friend, but in one moment of jealous rage I could kill you. I think most of us have to work hard at being good to others. Most religions' design is to create order, but when my order and your order collide, watch out!Just my rambli
  11. Thanks for having my back. I forgot the correct use of "buttload." I will do my best to objectively assist you whenever I can.
  12. Sluggo, I meant no malice. The question is "how stupid do you have to be to belive in God." Well, as I see it, either we "spontaneously" by random chance appeared out of nowhere (evolution) or we were created by some deity, supernatural like being (Creation = God like being). Just pealing it back to basics. Yes there is a whole grip of ideas as to what type of creator there is. I am not talking about that just yet. My point is to just say, if there is no God, then explain to me how we got here.Havn't yet heard about it being any easier to connect the dots. Carbon dating can't put 2 simil
  13. New here and hope you don't mind my jumping in. First, we must realize that this has a been a debate for much longer than any of us. Second, there are raving lunatics on both sides not just religious ones. Third, I am no expert but love the dialogue.Ok, forget all the details first and lets look at the basics. How did we come to exist? I only know of 2 common thoughts: Evolution and Creation. Well known proponents are on both sides. I choose creation. Yes, there is some percieved baggage that goes along with that choice and I accept that. Faith is the reason for that acceptance. I kno
  14. Noob here with a general question.I just found out that an Indian casino in my neighborhood (Fresno, CA or sometimes refered to as FresNO, Fresneck, Fresnot, Frestucky) is hosting WPT satellites for the TOC event. I know they have been malaligned recently, but still a great place to get your tourney on.Is anyone playing there?
  15. Bravo!Jamie Gold craps chipsJamie Gold is now the most envied man in the world. Other Men want to be him and women want to be with him.
  16. Not orginal thought here but here goes. If you are winning, you probabaly are playing at the right kind of table. Keep playing till you break 'em. Unless however, the players keep changing on you which happens a lot at micro tables. I find it better for me to get up and stretch about every 1/2 hour. I usually clears my head long enough to make a good decision about leaving or playing. Well said!
  17. Love the raise in the dark option. Always great to try and fire up the table a little when you first sit down. First impression baby can last a life time.Nice win by the way, even if you backed up into it.
  18. Jaime Gold ran for president of Uranus, uncontested so declared himself the winner.
  19. Jitters are common. Beer is good advice, just don't over do it and end up giving your money away cause you are lit. Some other thoughts: Walk around the room a little and get used to the atmosphere before sitting down. Play at a small limit table just to get situated. That way bets are controlled and bluffs a little less likely. Plus the dealer usually keeps those moving real fast. You can always move up later. Try talking to the other players. Some will blow you off, but some will respond and that will get your mind off the nervousness. Just remember to stay focused on the play and a
  20. He should go. It will make me want to watch him loose his money. Maybe Doyle will give him a hat too.
  21. Jamie Gold doesn't shop at Sears, cause he's the only TOOL needed.
