I think for the benefit of online poker, abolishing PT or anything like it, years ago was a good move. but now its too late and its part of the game. imo it scares alot of novice players away. At all limits

i have about a 30 friends that dont play anymore, who think this way. And what i noticed is they all lack balls and have no ambition, and can't get back up after they have been beaten down thousands of times. this game isnt for every1.

I think there is a large number of so called "winners" who are bad/non profitable players. The deck just hasn't hit them yet. I really think a so-so player can run good for YEARS and be uber profitable. Then just fall off the map When they dont win 60/40's for a year. They then realize they didnt have half as much the discipline they thought they did when they were running good.After you have a good game established i really think its a matter of discipline after that.playing often is important too.
