  1. I think this joke is tastless. How is it funny ? I can't see the funny side of suicide
  2. Yeah, my buddy was playing on my account. I was so sick after the calling off with KcJc. Oh well, it was good exp I guess. wd on your cash anyway
  3. As I already said, I was being sarcastic and thought people could use they're common sense that I was being sarcastic
  4. Were u playing with bennie-fly by any chance ??
  5. Hi all,I very rarely play HU SNGs online and was wondering what is a good strategy. I play alot of 10-handed SNGs and have reached the HU in MTTs before. I believe I am a good HU player in these circumstances but they are alot different IMO. In HU SNGs there is nothing for 2nd and the blinds can be very low, I find this is a big difference from normal HU scenarios.Any advice appreciated. Thanks
  6. I'm not sure what AA is against two random hands. If it is less than 80% (I'd imagine it's about 65% but I don't know) that increases my argument for folding.1 more person to go out before you make the money (obviosuly). As I've said, if there is 2 or 3 tables, folding is pretty pointless. But if there is 13 or 14 tables left, there is a good chance someone will go bust in the next 9 hands. I have no idea how many tables are at the WSOP PLHE events, but, if 27 get money for example, calling makes sense. If 144 say, got paid, then it would make sense to fold imo. There is no ante in PLHE, hence
  7. I created this thread because I wanted to know what people thought about it. More specifically, on the poker pod cast, 'The Circuit', they say over and over again that it is never right to fold AA pre flop in a tournament (other than in a super sat). It got me thinking about whether or not it is right to fold AA at any time, and this situation came to mind (something almost identical happend to me, altho it was NLHE with no ante and I got QQ on the cut off).As for the second scenario, that was just something else I randomly thought of and decided to throw it inAlso, well done and your comments
  8. I also remember reading the post. It was one of the most inspiring things I have read and it was probably the most infulential thing on my poker career. When I read, I had a BR of like $150, now my total BR is around $2,500. This post definately counted for that improvement
  9. mathematically, calling with J is a plus EV call. The AA fold I think is right. If you go in, 80% of the time or so, you will win 3k, still with a tiny chance of winning the tournament. The other 20% of the time you will go busto. Whereas if you fold, you are like 90% sure of cashingOf course, if its down to 1 or 2 tables or down to the final 300 players makes a differenceEDIT: Ah, that makes a differenceAnd obviously it doesnt come up in real life, you people are such idiots, can't you use your common sense to tell when someone is being sarcastic
  10. because it's an interesting topic that arises in every day life
  11. when ur typing, u have to stop when no body cares about what you type
  12. Okay, theres a few things I've been thinking about where it would be right to make the 'wrong' play.Scenario 1PLHE event at the World Series of Poker. You are currently on the buble with 500-1000 blinds. You go all in with JJ on the small blind and run into TT. A ten flops and you lose. You count up the chips and you are left with 1 yellow 1,000 chip. Next hand, blinds go up to 1k-2k. It is folded to you on the button. You look at A A . What do you do ?Scenario 2You are playing a 1/2 cash game. There is a spade royal flush jackpot of 200,000. You are playing a pot heads up in a blind v blind
  13. ''Are the greats really great?'' Well who's to say wat true greatness is. Surely the aim in poker is to make money. So whoever wins the most money is the greatest, right ? So does that make Jamie Gold the greatest ? Or has Doyle and Chip made more than that in side games ?? Is the greatest the one who beats the best players day in, day out for 30 years ? If so, Chip Reese is your man. But what about the prodigies, the new kids, Patrick Antonius and Phil Ivey, so young, yet still playing with the greatest players in the world. Surely this is greatness. What about being ahead your whole life, ne

  15. One of my favourite quotes from Mike Matusow, a spokesman and member of team Full Tilt:Mike Matusow: I just ****ed my kitty, hopefully that will change my luck
  16. I think its a great play. Whats the need to call if your killing the game ? You obviously want to finish in first and doing this is your best chance. I think it is a very, very good (and perfectly ethical) play.Btw, Scott Fischman discussed this in his book with regards to SNGs. He called it ''Playing God'' or something similar
  17. i think it means free entry into the very first sattelitte. not sure tho
  18. I have a ruling question too, dont wanna start a new topic about it tho.If, for example, the blinds are 200-400, and the player puts 1 grey chip (worth $1000) in the pot, and doesnt say 'call' or 'raise' what is it ? a call or a raise. I think its a call but i dont rly know
  19. thanks guys, appreciate it. I've decided I will play it So now I'm looking for any advice on playing the tournament or helpful tips or situations that might come upthanks
