  1. you don't see almost 9000 "doctors" who have no idea what they are doing attempting brain surgery do you?
  2. Then go there and don't come back. Please. I mean seriously do really believe that statement? If you do you are an idiot. You need to sell it to us just as much as we need to buy it.
  3. Gilbert is money. He is also very underrated. Easily a top 5 player in the league right now. Anyone who disagrees is a donkey.
  4. If any of you guys are struggling with a gambling addiction or any addiction for that matter. I would encourage you to check out: http://www.crosscurrent.org/messages/index.htm and listen to the messages dated 2/26/06 and/or 2/19/06. I was definately letting poker/gambling control my life and these messages definately helped me.Later,Josh
  5. Steve,I think your OP is awesome. I too am a Christian and believe as you do. I think it takes a lot of courage to put your beliefs out there especially in today's culture. Don't sweat the people who mock and criticize you, if one person accepts the Lord you have done God's work. Also,I live in NOVA and I played in the NVFFA. Don't know if that is that same as the nvflag in your email address but if it is what team did you play for?Later,Josh
  6. I can't see him going all in with a pair of 8s and just a straight draw with one card to go against two players. He might of made that move with 78 of clubs, which would also give him a flush draw. But since he showed 7 of spades that wouldn't work.I voted 75 of spades.
  7. I really don't know if just having 5 different entries in a tourney is cheating by itself. Obviously if he happened to have two of his "accounts" seated at the same table and had one dump chips to the other that is cheating, but he couldn't possible have control over were each of his different "accounts" were seated. If it was some how determined that he basically colluded with himself then he should be penalized, no doubt about it.It is a gray area at best but is there really any advantage to basically buying into a tourney 5 different times? He does have more opportunities to win but he
  8. In a cash game I would lay down KK after he went all in. Even if I had put in a much as you already did (because, like you said you still would have had $150) My experience in cash games is that the 4th reraise before the flop is AA 99.99% of the time. If you read Phil Gordon's book he says the same thing and he even tells a story about how he laid down KK in the final stages of a tourney against Phil Hellmuth (Hellmuth had AA).I personally don't think I would ever lay down KK in a tourney especially in the early stages but in a cash game especially in 1/2 nlh (which i play a lot) it easy t
  9. I have only been up against a high set twice in my two years of playing poker seriously. In that same time I have hit quads probably 10-12 times. So no I don't worry about it.Still haven't made a straight flush yet though. :x
  10. That is the funniest thing I have heard today (probably ever on this forum)
  11. I would lead out on the flop. If he raised me I would reraise. In other words I would try to get most of money in on the flop. Bottom two pair are strong on the flop but to many hands can beat you so I want to end the hand before the turn.
  12. I agree with TJ. By reraising on the flop you give the guy an opportunity to lay down something like K10 or KJ also your reraise on the flop might give you the opportunity to see the river for free if you are in position.
  13. I was playing 1/2 nlh on FT last night and the following hand came up:I was in middle position and raise to $7 with A J button calls and big blind callsFlops comes 10 3 7 big blind checks, I check as does the button.Turn 6 big blind bets $12, I just call as does the button. Now I put my opponents on a weak flush draw (i am hoping someone has the K of spades) or maybe someone is slow playing a made low flush. I don't think anyone has flopped trips because no one bet the flop. All I am really thinking is : please don't let the board pair.River: 6 DAMNThe big blind immediately puts the re
  14. im raising or even reraising with an open ended straight/flush draw. I always raise when I am the favorite.
  15. I like pushing the draw there. If he has what you say you put him on (a weak ace) you still have 17 outs. When people play marginal/weak hands pressure usually makes them dump it.
