  1. Barry was suspicious, and I understand he approaches ring games very similarly -- cautious of ppl who may be trying to rig high end games by playing in teams. He's smart for second guessing this kind of stuff. That said, he didn't have much of a case here -- Danny and Jenn clearly pointed that out IMHO in their replies.
  2. Dont have one. Busted out early - some days your heart is just not in it. Good luck to the remainders.
  3. I tried to download it but the site was too slow so I gave up.
  4. It's a prospecting hand at best -- you're really looking for a straight or T high flop. Problem with it is when an A flops, since you will often have the lower kicker at showdown.
  5. It should be against the rules (is it?) to stake in a major tourney.
  6. This is a no brainer, unless you dislike money or your opponent is a friend. Poker is war.
  7. Please ignore the resident psychos. They are fragile.
  8. Amen!Woops, was this a quality post? Doh!
  9. Welcome! Since you're on Stars, you should consider playing in one of our two weekly $10 tournaments. They are loads of fun.
  10. These are the exact same problems that I encountered when trying to figure this out. It would be a lot easier if you could assume independent hands and a 50 card deck. The best answer I could come up with was around 20%.
  11. I have been thinking about this a lot. The situation came up in a tournament I was recently playing and I busted out from it. After I went all-in to make my stand, the UTG turns over QQ and the button-1 turns over AJ. The QQ held up to put me out.I think the better move here would have been to fold and hope to catch a better hand in the next 9 hands rather than going all-in against two larger stacks who are already committed to the pot. It would be better to at least have the chance of bluffing someone out of the pot, and I would prefer to be a bit more certain that I was not up against a prem
  12. I thought so too until he mentioned about doing a xfer on PStars. Read it again.
  13. That's the two he was referring to. He says other than that, he gave no other bad beats -- he just won a crap load of coin flips I guess.
  14. For that buy-in, most of them stink -- too few starting chips and too aggressive structure. Plus the buy in is so low ppl play crazy hands. I recommend investing a bit more and going to the Mirage for their tournaments. You might find a good $100 tourney at Luxor (they also have $20 ones but they are crap).
  15. It was a great little commentary. I was very surprised to hear that he only received two bad beats and only gave two bad beats the entire tournament.
  16. Plz don't bother. I offer advice all of the time to people on this forum without attempting to charge them fees. If you know and are willing to share, thanks. If not, then please move on.
  17. What are the chances in a 9 handed game if you have QQ in the hole, that one or more of the other 8 players has any of the following hole cards {AK, KK, AA, AQ, KQ, or AJ}?I have an answer but I'm not 100 % sure it's correct so if anyone could post their answer and "work", I'd appreciate it greatly. :-)

    how old part ii

I started playing when Moneymaker won the WSOP. Never really took too much interest in the game until he exposed it to the world and I.
  19. It's pretty tough to play more than 2, IMHO. Two though isn't that bad at all.
  20. Curious to know your thoughts on this one...
  21. Congrats on the entry. Don't get too caught up in the trip and forget about the tourney. You could win a lot of money!
