watch this clip of gus hansen against devilfish
milestodavid replied to themadmike's topic in General Poker Forum
The thing with Gus is, he knows how to maximize his profits when he gets lucky, and thats what makes him a good player. I don't see why people keep ragging on him saying he's really lucky. Agreed he does get lucky sometimes, but he never lets off the pressure, and thats a great way to play.BTW, that clip had nothing to do with him being lucky. You're allowed to have good runs right? The second hand, nothing to do with being lucky. The first hand.... I see how he did, but it's not like he was calling off his chips. -
nh though

you played that horribly! you gotta show the krablar, then procede onto dancing.... some people just don't know how to play the krablar, UTG, out of position, ugh! The krablar is becoming way too commercial...

I haven't seen Tom Hanks on many lists, and I'm wondering why. I really think he is one of the best actors I've ever seen. I can't think of one Tom Hanks movie that I absolutely hated, only because his acting brought it up. He is probably one of the most versatile actors ever, and never puts on a bad performance. I just want to see who agrees with me, and who flat out thinks I'm a movie donk lol.

interesting tourney situation; opinions please
milestodavid replied to ForKeeps's topic in Tournament Play
I agree with Dev. If you make a standard pre-flop raise, or just call that raise, you'd still be in position to take that pot. Even if the flop didn't come with an A but a K, you still could bluff your opponent off his QQ. If you had a big hand like AK AA KK, then it would be ok to push it all-in, but with a hand like A7 sooted and you're not less that 10x the big blind, don't push. I don't follow much of his advice, but I do follow this little quote, "Bring your big guns to the big battles." - Phil Hellmuth -
PS - 34FSU - 17I know, giving FSU too much credit. FSU wont touch 20 though.
