  1. Andy Bloch and Patrick on my list!
  2. Here's mine: Home poker tourney. Blinds 200 - 400> Early position loose & agressive player raises 1200. Donk to his left re-raises 2400, I look down to my 10's look at the donk and know he either has Aces or Kings. Reasoning, the kid had 2 huge tells, the timbre of his voice and a psychological tell - he's afraid of the early postion player and would normally juscall with KJ or AQ. Easy laydown...end of the hand he showed KK
  3. My head hurt after reading it. Nothing earth shattering as far as info
  4. I would put in a bet for half the pot, if he raises you you can give him credit for a set. Its unlikely that he has AK otherwise he wouldve showed some strength by now. If you check, he'll more then likely bet and you have to fold, of you put in a bet about half the pot he'll fold if he was messing around with 5-3-x
  5. im at the Taj for their midnight madness tournament, blinds are at 300-600 and Im down to 7300 in chips. i look down at AA and im in late position. i wanted to win a big pot and trap so i limped, the button limped, the SB and BB called. Flop comes down 3-5-Q no flush draw. Good flop for me unless the blinds caught 2 pair. SB checks, BB bets 4000, im thinking he doesnt want callers, he most likely has a Q with a bad kicker, I reraise all in, the button folds the bb insta calls with a 6-4 STRAIGHT DRAW! Turns an Ace river is a 2.I dont know if i got too fancy or what. oh well...
  6. Yeah I suggest you get that if your at the point where you focus on tells. Its called Read'em and Reap. Its not so much watching for poker actors as it is looking for microgestures. It goes way beyond weak means strong. Since reading it, this week I played 3 live 2 table sit n' goes. Results; 2nd, 1st, and 2nd. IT WORKS!
  7. Wow Dags had pocket Kings, Ivey had Pocket Aces, both hit trips on the flop. Got it all in the middle, Dags hit quads on the turn!
  8. Now here's the key point this question. Your a 3-2 favorite to win the hand. Your a scary table with two insanely good players who are loose and insanely good. I don't care how good you think you are, Ivey will out play you after the flop, end of story. In order for you to have a fighing chance, you have to have GUs and Phil out chipped. They'll be less inclined to stal from you being that you can set them all in.
  9. Menn shoud've got right in AI's face and say "You don't want one of this yo." I school you."
  10. When your on the button raising an unraised pot with suited connectos and he smooth calles with pocket tens. You hit tyour dream flop, hey miss and push all in with tens, you call and show him the news. The fish over and over all nightkeeps repeating, "you raised with 7-6 suited?".
  11. So I was at the Taj Thursday playing $1 - $2 no limit. There was this asian kid sitting at my table with about a thousand dollars in red chips. I stared playing and about an hour into the game, Menn the Master comes over to the table and starts chatting with the asian kid. Nice! Some dude at the table asked if he wanted to sit with us, Menn just walked back to his game sitting behind what looked like atleast 100,000 in green chips. A ffew mins later, Allen Iverson walks in with his crew and walks straight to The Master's table. I seriously thought there would be a throwdown between Menn an
  12. best hand on GSNhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8O8a_un_r8...0stakes%20poker
  13. I brought $200 with me to the Taj, looking forward to playing $1 - $2 NLH. It was my best friends birthday, all my friends wanted to play the table games. I didn't want to be a party pooper so I played craps with them. Before I knew it I was down to $30.Okay time to grind. I bought into the $3 - $6 limit game. Had a few drinks in me, felt cocky as hell so I started calling peoples hands outloud. I was on too which pissed people at my table off even more. Within 2 hours I'm up to $120. Now the question. Do I keep fishing or do I buy in to $1 - $2 NL. Of course, I'm on fire, lets play
  14. Although he's played professionally since he was 17, Negreanu didn't begin to develop his signature style until he was 23. It was 1998 and, as a newcomer to Las Vegas, he was playing with world champion Stu Ungar and Erik Seidel in a no-limit game at the Bellagio. Negreanu sat to Ungar's immediate left, which meant he was always forced to react to Ungar's play. Ungar was only months away from his drug-induced death, but managed to bully the table relentlessly even on autopilot. "He was in complete control of every hand," Negreanu says. "Every hand went through Stuey. Everybody had to be comple
  15. I'll be there, anyone else game?
  16. Started last year with "The Real Deal" which was kind of basic and since I was a beginer, I took it as gospel. Then moved on to "Play Like the Pros" still not what I wanted. "Hold'em For Advanced Players" got my poker brain to start working, "Ace On the River" helped a ton as far as thinking through hands. By the time I bought SS 1 it was all things I already knew, but the stud 8 section was awesome. Last 2 books HOH 1 and 2 WOW! Helped me out in a tourney last night. Still getting it to soak in, I love the section on "M"s
  17. Heads up with any flush, yeah Im putting him all in.
  18. So in Philly they have these charity Hold'em tournaments. I found one that hand a $100 entry fee unlimited rebuys until the 4th round. The blind structure sucked. There were 71 players that started with 3000 in chips. The blinds started at 25 - 50 then doubled from there. I sat down at the table and it was a fish fest. People who were just learning, looking to give away their money. There was 2 good players at my table who I just avoided. So my strategy was play tight big pot poker. Worked well. For the most part I hung in there while the stinkers busted out. I got to the final table
  19. I had a friend transfer $5 to my FTP account. Grinded out $11 to play a tournement, won $830 cashed out $ 750, took that $85 and played some $10 $30 hold'em and got that up to $400 then gradually donked it away. That was my week. Highs and lows

  21. the blinds went up so damn fast! I didnt get any playable hands. so yeah I got blinded out, when ever I did take a stand, I didnt get any action. So I guess next time Im gonna be more aggressive early. Yes this was at Borgata
  22. Im playing the $20 tourney at FTP winner gets $4000. I have 1560 blinds are 15 30 I getpocket Queens UTG. Chip leader raises to 500 I call. Flop comes out J 10 9 rainbow. I go all in he calls and turns over pocket 7sDONKEY!blank on the turn 7 on the river. I figured I had 10 outs even if it was against kings or aces Im getting the right price. Any arguments about my play are welcome
  23. So I've been playing and winning with consistance, my home game SNGs, some SNG's at Full Tilt. So I entered a super satellite at the Borgata Winter Open. God damn the binds went up fast. Majority of my hands were garbage so I threw them away preflop. My first half decent hand 99 I had to fold to a raise and a reraise.I was getting sort stacked so with KQ late position with blinds at 200 I raise to 600, they all fold. A few hands later AK on the button same raise, the guy who ended winning told me he's gonna lay down a monster just because its me. Hmmmm they're re ading me as super tight.
