Help. I sorta improved, but not really... I check because betting has no value, am I beating a bluff enough here... roughly 2.5-1...All thoughts are appreciated...- Zach

I like preflop.I like the flop. A ton of hands could have missed here and we collect a lot of money on the table. We could get small pp's to fold. Standard continuation bet, etc.I like the turn bet. We hit the two way inside straight. We could get a really weak jack to fold here. It also serves as a decent blocking bet in case our opponent was going to get crazy with a jack or a bluff or something. JT on his part is possible, I think, but we have outs so let's not worry about it too much now.The river is obviously where it gets hard. After he bets, this is where we stand:likely hands we are beating:.......AJ...KJ... Neither of these seem too likely, though. His passive play and then his aggression on the river when an overcard hits make no sense with these hands. Frankly, I really can't think of an actual hand that we're really beating here. So, the only thing that he could have is a bluff. But there's no busted flush draw or anything that would make sense for a bluff to say in. Why would he bluff with a jack since he could potentially win a showdown? Doesn't make too much sensehands that are beating us:Where to begin...T9 for the straight. I think this is quite likely. JT, QJ for two pair. These make sense too.88, JJ Probably less likely as I think he raises the turn with these, but they still could be there.AK for Broadway. Also, not very likely unless he's a total donk.We only need to win this hand a bit more then 1/4 to make a profit, but I don't know if we win it that much. Everything ever hit. Also, he didn't really overbet. He bet about half the pot which says "value bet" to me. I think I fold this one only because no hand that we beat makes any sense whatsoever.

I think he's value-betting the river and it's probably a fold. If the river was an A instead of a Q, We can argue for a call.I don't love the turn bet. I think it's either a c/c with the double gutshot or an overbet to force him to make a tough decision and laying down a Q-10 or a draw here. I like the c/c better because I think if you let your bar run down a little before making the call on the turn, you'll probably get another bet if you make your hand. Also, you don't have to insta-raise with A-Q off UTG. You can make a smaller raise to get out trash or just limp and fold if you feel uncomfy. AQ is definitely not the nuts and gets a lot of people (including myself) in trouble when played OOP.

Personally I prefer 2.5-3xbb preflop. Not a massive difference, but it means you end up making smaller bets on later streets.Flop seems ok.On the turn I don't hate your line, but I think you should really either bet more (~$20) or you should c/c. $15 makes it fairly standard for him to call with a weak J.On the river I think c/f is the right play. I can't think of a single hand that bets $32 there that you beat.

I like the flop, turn..not so mucho. I'd definately bet more against an opp. capable of folding a J, and c/c against your typical floatfish.River is a tough one, but getting those odd I'm tempted to call. Teh value of knowing what type of hand he played like this means someting to me too.

Only thing that makes sense to me is 9T, OR if he has QJ but thinks you are super tight (therefore, doesn't want to raise). He has a healthy amount of aggression so you'd expect him to raise you on the turn with a strong J. I'm very much leaning towards a river fold, but everything else is well-played imo.
