I bought in for $100, shortstacking at 1/2 NL. I played really tight and only played big hands usually good PP. Here are the hands I played.AA Flop AKQTurn 2River 9Won about $60J 10 Clubs in the BBFlop 10d 3c 8c I call a lowstacks all in and a guy repushes me but he was a drunk so i called.Lowstack had AQclubsDrunk had 99Turn JdRiver 2cSo I lost main pot but won a bigger sidepot to actually profit a little10 10Flop 10 8 ATurn 6I get it all in vs an AK drawing deadWon like $160JJFlop J 9 3Get it all in vs drunk again and he has J9 drawing dead since someone folded a 9Won about $200The this hand came and Im kind of mad but cant play results poker. I folded 77 to a $10 raise cuz I didnt want to set mine.Flop 7c Kd 5dI flop the set but think I would of lost to flush drawTurn 10dThere is the flush Im a little more happyRiver 7hI would of hit quads and won about another few hundred. Kind of mad but thats poker.All in all, my max stack was $620. I cashed out for $560 after missing an AK flush draw. So I profited $460 overall which is awesome since I dont have a job lol.Although my friends had a bad night. My gambler friend lost $360 overall on poker and 3 card poker. My stepbro lost $200 then rebought and lost another $100 then threw a chair pillow and is now probably banned from the casino. He is such a snapshow. My other friend lost $120 after grinding it out slowly and losing it all by folding. My other friend lost $200 after rebuying. My last friend that came lost $120 on poker but won it back at blackjack so he broke even.It kind of sucked they all lost a bunch but Im quite happy I won a bunch of money. Only guy who could bust me and I really put him on KK or AA from what Ive seen. I just felt why risk my stack on set mining. Since the big stack bets big all the time and could felt me. I didnt want to lose set vs straight or flush or higher set. I was scared for once Im sorry lol. Although in hinesight I obvs should of played as I would have won huge but not much I can do now. It is a very low chance the you both have a PP and you both hit that 1 of 9 shot. It happens more only because you play MANY more hands per hour than you could even think about playing live. If you don't hit your set just dump it and lose $10 or so. If you hit that set win $150 or so. It is worth it to set mine. IMO Link to post Share on other sites

As stated before I got scared one time I guess. Cuz I just made that money the few hands before and this big stack was hitting everything and icing people left and right. I guess I just had a gut feeling I was gonna hit and lose a bigpot. I was obviously wrong and I will never fold in that situation ever again.Now can we focus on anything else but the quad 7's hand I am trying to forget it ever happened. Im not saying when I flop a set I always think they will hit a flush to beat me. Just this particualr hand I felt the one guy had a flush draw and hit but he actually had 2 pair. I do win a lot but lately I get screwed by bad beats left and right. If I could convince them to play cash home game where I didnt have to worry about blinds Id slaughter them because they cant change their styles to cash game play they always play tourny style which hurts them in cash games. Although I try and teach them everything Ive learned over the years they always get stubborn and say they dont want to hear it. So Ive stopped trying to teach them and just laugh now when they lose all their money chasing endless draws and playing stupid poker in cash games. Link to post Share on other sites
