Loismustdie 0
That's still 12,000- I don't see the problem- his chip lead is barely over 2 million, it's not like he has the guy by the balls- in my mind, that is actually not a bad deal. Have you ever actually been to a final table? Anything can happen.
Poker4Me2005 0
I'm sure its the most money hes ever won and he was so excited about that that he didnt care that he could have gotten ~$700 more if they had done a chop by chip count... or even the fact that he could have won the 16k since he had a decent chip advantage heads up. PotDragon 0
One double through and the rolls are reversed...I have made deals with the chip lead before. If you are gonna make a deal, then make a deal. If you worried about current chip count....play it out.All depends how you look at it.

Do not get me wrong I generally do not chop- but in this case I might have, especially since by taking the chop I only make 3,500 less whereas I am losing a share of an extra six grand if dude manages to catch me- trust me, it happens all the time, that is why people accept deals in the first place. PotDragon 0
Do not get me wrong I generally do not chopSee...I am the opposite. I never turn down a decent offer. Then again...I play so often around town with the same people that it becomes an automatic split when it's all locals. Some dudes even get a chop from me if they have even one chip.Nice to have "friends".
jaaaaakke 0
dude is generous to chop it with sizeable chip lead......why insult it, i applaud his courtesy.
jlgosse 0
Well think about it. If you had a big chiplead and you suddenly double up your opponent after turning down a deal with him, and then he has a 2:1 or 3:1 chiplead on you, do you think he's still going to want to deal?Taking a 50/50 split in this position is really not that bad. GrinderMJ 0
Perhaps he thought he was clearly the worse player of the two? Or maybe he was a player with very little heads up experience and realized if he didn't chop he probably was going to lose. If I know my opponent is much better and will most likely outplay me and take the chip lead, I have no problem splitting even though I have a small chip lead.
