NBC is giving a major FU to the NHL by showing some games on the golf channel

Winnipeg Jets have a good team.

sportsnet was showing a classic game last night of Edm vs Jets in 1990. The whiteout was just as prominent then. So cool how great and all in the fans are there

Avs are going to try the whiteout for game 3. Makes a bit of sense because snow and avalanche but I think it’s a bad play. The team needs all the energy possible which includes a sea of burgundy jerseys. A white out just blends the home fans with the Preds fans.

Exactly. Back in the day it made sense when Home teams wore white.

Or it makes the visitor fans disappear into the home fans.

I like the white out. My girls kept asking me what was going on. They also thought it was cool.

Well I'm going to retract my previous prediction of Wild in 5. I still think they could win, but I don't see an outcome where the Wild just contain them and control the series like I previously thought. The difference in offensive talent in these two teams is staggering.

Perreault gets injured and they'll likely just insert Roslovic. Nice depth.

Phil Kessel last night had the least amount of 5 v 5 icetime of all players . Had the most PP icetime however.

Is Phil slowly becoming a PP specialists? His PP numbers were pretty amazing this year. 5 v 5 not a huge year..Still good, but the PP numbers were the reason for the great year.

No. Phil had his best even strength point total since 2013-14 this season. 3rd best overall. He just happens to also be very, very good on the power play.

Also, he's on the third line, which would limit his ES ice time somewhat. Not sure what impact the blowout had on ice time last night, either. Oh yeah, and he did play through some injury in game 81 and/or 82 or something.
