Sbrugby Up $2.5 Million In 2007 On Ftp

Recommended Posts

yeah, but you know in six months he's going to be broke, fat, and/or dead under a bus somewhere. it's my theory that the same 20 high stakes pros pass the same $15,000,000 around in poker/golf/sports betting, with little chunks disappearing here and there to people like sbrugby only to be replenished when one of the pros scores a big tourney cash or win and infuses that back into the bigger online and live games. i'm not downing on sbrugby at all, just saying that this won't seem like news six months from now...

I will bet you any amount you choose, in 6 months he will still be up on the year.

agreed, he is consistently big winner at NL Holdem every month. His Omaha PL is still suspect but his winnings at Holdem more than bnakroll his Omaha learning curve.

obv there are tons of people on this forum who are excellent poker players... i guess my point was i can't think of a single other poker forum where you would find someone spewing that kind of garbage about sbrugby... honestly dude, broke or dead in 6 months? only on fcp.

I think he would have said that no matter what player was the one who was winning as he has his theory and Brian Townsend doesn't get discussed that much on FCP like he is on other forums like 2+2 where he posts so he may not even really know much about him.If you ever read his blog you can see that there isn't another player who is as committed to being the best that they can be or is willing to work as hard as Brian Townsend is at the moment. That being said I understand why he wasn't included in the latest HSP taping. His profile is huge among the FT nosebleed stakes watchers and the regulars at some poker forums but that is not that large an audience and the casual watcher doesn't know who he is.

you guys are friggin' idiots. i can't believe i have to explain a joke that started on fcp to you. some time ago, rumors were circulating about certain high stakes players being broke, overweight, or in one notable case having been hit by a bus. it became a running joke on these forums, that was apparently missed by every anklebiting ****** who read this thread and just had to comment about what an idiot i am. good lord, what a bunch of uptight toolboxes...for the record, no, i do not really think sbrugby will be broke or dead in six months. good christ, what happened to this place...

Yeah, but Tony Salorio and Brian Brandon? Aba is much more recognizable after already having played one season and people who didn't know about him having the chance to look him up on teh internets. The "new" unknown internet guy, Phil Galfond, doesn't seem like he gets to play much either.

that's omgclayaiken, fwiw, which along with the unknown amateurs that appear on the show all the time shows that the fact brian is an unknown probably had less to do with him not appearing than other factors such as how uncomfortable he looked on tv or the fact that other pros pressured the producers to put more dead money at the table.also, db, i reread your post like 5x and could not detect a hint of sarcasm anywhere. was the part about the high stakes pros trading the same 15 mil back and forth a joke too? kdawg you're absolutely right, there are all kinds of idiots at nvg and the like, i guess i was thrown off by the fact that absolutely no one talks about sbrugby like that because he is such a model of work ethic and evaluating every decision and rarely/never spewing chips like so many others do.
