Crosspointe1 0
Fairly new to poker and realizing maybe a little too emotional for the game. This is a big vent but want to get it out so flame away.... Before i begin, I know I was above my B/R and pretty much had everything coming to me.....and it happened.FTP B/R from 200 to 500 playing .25/.50 in 4 days (thought I was pretty good!!). Go to 1/2 with $100 at 2 tables. 2 bad beats on river after getting it all in with st8 against set twice and river f/house both times. Yes I know, BBFIDTS.Major tilt takes me to 2/4 with rest of my roll. sorry no hand history to post because uninstalled PS and FTP to calm down. 6/max, I win one hand of $40+ with TPTK. Then the final hand.... I know bad play bad position etc. but it is not a bad beat, just bad play. I get A8s UTG and make it 12 UTG+1 (about $450) calls. BB calls. flop 10s 6d 3h rainbow. I bet $28 UTG+1 calls, BB folds.turn 9h I bet $80UTG+1 calls.Flop 10d I'm screwed and know I'm done if I check and can only hope to win if I shove. All in for remainder $130+UTG+1 calls and shows 3d 4dand rakes pot of $500+ He then writes TY!!!I know it was bad everything on my part but still a crappy way to go out. I know I'm pretty new and haven't posted much but I'm gonna lay low and maybe lurk around for a while....and stay away from this game until I feel I can be a little less tilted......Flame away....sorrry for wasting your reading time too....just needed to vent. Crosspointe1 0
Yeah 34 of diamonds.... I know I f..ed up by playing the hand in the first place, never mind being above my roll on tilt etc, but to beat me with the 34 diamonds after all the betting I did makes me feel even more like a schmuck..... Could you consider that he had a really good read on you? You played that as terrible as you could on all three streets. You're approach seemed pretty flawed. At 2/4 I generally consider the competion very weak, so I generally wait for them to make mistakes first, not shove and hope to drive them all of pots. Take 1 stab at the pot if you really want to on the flop, then just give it up. If you're really frisky, make another bet on the turn, but by all means NO BET ON THE RIVER, LOL.Just reading your thought process, you lack a lot of common knowledge about the game.Stay at .25/50 NL. I think that's an excellent limit to cut your teeth in this game.I know this is my first post, but I have been tearing up my 1/3 NL game at my local casino for about a 500 BB Profit.I have also gone a-wohl with my BR before, playing 20/40 Limit on party after going on a tear with 50 free bucks through a promotional site, but never to but my BR at total risk like you. It's a long story. Hope that helps.
trippkelly 0
Major tilt takes me to 2/4 with rest of my roll.Biggest mistake was going to a HIGHER limit when you didn't have enough roll to play the limit you were in...AND you were steaming. You should have gone down in limit, but only as the 2nd choice. You REALLY need to learn to walk away, and not throw more money away after you've suffered a loss. Next time, build at a lower limit for a while, so a couple bad beats don't take your whole roll.
pokerinc 0
bankroll management is the only way you'll ever be a winner. I used to do this stuff all the time. When I started I thought 5 buy ins was a huge bankroll for a level. Then you dust one off on a bad beat and want to get it back quick. It doesn't always work.20 buy ins will make poker a crapload less emotional. At .25 .50 you could definitely get away w/ 10 if you stay level and DO NOT TILT OR MOVE UP.bankroll management. repeat it. bad beats happen to everybody, no matter how good you are. Look at DN on High stakes season 2.
