ROBBBIGG 0
I'd probably be gunning for those short stacked hu guys with 2 broadway cards/high pockets (88+) and i'd prob. just call pre and fold a non 5 flop. if he was even shorter it might be a fold
chgocubs99 0
Stand by... Reading...Ok, a couple of questions first:How loose and aggressive has this opponent been preflop? Has he been raising all buttons? Have you 3-bet yet in this match? In particular, do you know if he folds to a 3-bet?How likely is he to fold to a c-bet?Do you know how aware he is to get married to a hand once he commits a certain percentage of his stack to a given hand? In particular, do you have reason to believe that he is willing to release if he misses the flop after calling your 3-bet preflop when he has $40 behind? The above questions could change which play is the optimal play, but in a vacuum (for example, within the first couple of hands of the match) I would say that I rarely 3-bet 55 there. He has an awkward stack size, which (as you found out) puts you in an awkward spot OOP on most flops. *NORMALLY*, I call PF, and am likely to check-fold this type of flop without reads. I would say the deciding factor here is that his stack size really ties your hands for post-flop room to maneuver in a 3-bet pot.In this case, it was the sixth hand of the match. Thank you for the advice below.

chgocubs99 0
I do, mostly because I'm relatively new to PLO and not quite comfortable with playing deep.I hear that, but I mostly mean quitting for the day after a certain amount won. You can always buy back in with 100bb's at another table.
Merby 3
Does anyone here use stop-gains?If you mean "stop playing after being up $X in a session," then no. If you mean something else, then I'm not sure what you were talking about.

psujohn 0
I love September so far! Here's my graph of my HU NLHE so far this month. Let me ask you something: does Tre know how to coach or what? This is all at HU NLHE($1) 1-on-1 tables.Sustainable...?Only 117 BB/100 which is kinda disappointing for a student of Tre. But you did run 40BB/100 above expectation which is ok. I'd work with Tre a bit more to see if you can shore up some of those obvious leaks and get to a nice respectable winrate.Edit: So who's going to be the first post on page 1000 now that Kev is gone? troyomac 0
So I'm getting drunk tonight... didn't feel like playing for a while, then finally on beer 6 decide to play a 10/20 NLO8 game. Guy quits after 13 hands, I win $28. Then I go to a 5/10 PLO8 HU game, where a guy usually sits but I never play him because I figure he's gotta be decent, and I like to game select better than that. But I got liquid courage so I sit in, and 28 hands later, up 2400 off him. Cliffnotes: 1) Drink a bunch of beer2) Play 41 hands3) Quit up 2418Rough life!
