SlapStick 0
Just means when you are both lazy the women get to go to a nice restuarant instead of ordering delivery etc. nice deal.
Naked_Cowboy 0
My buddy that consistently uses the carrot to get me to move there that the women are much better in Austin (he used to live here) might actually be telling the truth.both my wife and i come from texas families. kaleigh's grandmother ran a restaurant and then pie shop. you better believe that family can cook. i eat better at home for the holidays between both of our parents than i could for anything less than $100/day at restaurants up here. Suited_Up 2
RE: The betNational chains seems so broad to me. There are a lot of national chains that aren't really that lower tier type place. I would think you need a very specific list on that one. I get the idea of the ones in that category, but where would you draw the line? Almost seems like you can't eat out anywhere. What about independent burger joints? Chain steakhouses? Things like that. What about ordering a pizza?
Ex_Matt 0
lol @ that bet.Does that include chinese restaurants ?
psujohn 0
I don't even like fast food but there's no way I could go a year without eating it. When you have kids every road trip over 2 hours requires at least one stop at a McDonalds or something.Plus I think the "national chain" wording sort of misses what I assumed was the whole point. Hell In-n-out burger isn't a national chain and neither is steak n shake. Nor the excellent btw DC based 5 Guys Burgers n Fries. Unless you're considering these chains to be national even though they're regional. Plus I think there are plenty of healthy options at and even some good food at "national chains". Painter567 0
You're black?Tremomey and Acid_Knight are each wagering $2400 at even money vs the other and are both subject to the following terms:1. Only restaurants are excluded, not types of food.2. Restaurants with drive-thrus are off limits. This includes Taco Bell, Burger King, McDonald's, Wendy's, Sonic, Panda Express, Arby's, etc...3. National chains are also off limits. This includes Olive Garden, Outback, Red Lobster, Chipotle, Qdoba, Chilis, Applebees, Red Robin, etc...4. All food in these restaurants is off limits, but beverages are acceptable, provided that they are not milkshakes or have ice cream in them.5. This is an honor bet. Records of what is eaten will be kept by each participant and exchanged on a weekly basis.6. The bet runs from the drop of the ball on January 1st, 2009 until the ball drops on Dec 31, 2009.7. If both participants complete the year without breaking rules 1-4, no money is exchanged.8. If one participant breaks any rule, 1-4, they are eliminated from the bet. The last standing participant will be awarded $200/month for each month that they successfully completed. 9. Months will be rounded for simplicity. Breaking a rule on the 14th or earlier of the month rounds down and the 15th or later rounds up. 10. The bet is to be settled as soon as there are no eligible participants remaining.Yea.......fuck this....Gl boys!
Painter567 0
For those that do not visit my Porn Thread. ZOMG! I am sitting right near Jesse Jane at the Dallas airport. I want to go get a pic with her but all the people around would be like......why is that guy getting a pic with a random hot blonde! LOL!She is so tiny. Looks so much better as I see her now, plain with no makeup on at all. Much prettier than when she is caked on with makeup. YEP!Talked to her a bit once she woke up. Her and her man are here in Tampa for the weekend. She is the featured dancer this weekend at DejaVu.Seemed nice.
Suited_Up 2
Plus, Burrito Bol's at Chipotle can be pretty healthy if you construct them right.
Painter567 0
If Matt says his GF is going to cook you could always call the Labor Department and them know he is breaking child labor laws. Easy win for you.HAHA!
NoSup4U 0
I would absolutely do this bet and keep a log of my daily food consumption / provide receipts for the right price. Stuff like chipotle would have to be excluded as long as you get relatively healthy options. You better freaking believe i could not eat a burger or taco bell for a year if it meant i'd be eating a freaking $5k taco (and i LOVE volcano tacos). Would be really good for me for sure as I probably eat fast food 2-3 times a week, more if i get mcdonalds breakfast for something greasy after a particularly bourbon filled poker night. This is fast food, do you see why? I know Chipotle is good compared to McDonalds, but according to Shannon's weight watchers calculator thing its still a ton of points. Also Acid/Tre you guys are crazy. (and thats coming from someone that almost never eats fast food) Mark

NoSup4U 0
IMO the hardest part of this Acid/Tre bet is the record keeping. No way in hell I could deal with tracking what I ate for a whole year.Mark

I did the South Beach thing for awhile, and I would go in there and get a Burrito Bol with no rice, both types of beans, meat, lettuce, pico and then add lemon (Cause I love lemon) and it was right in line w/ what I could have. Or if your significant other's friend/co-worker invites the two of you out for a double date/etc? is she going to have to explain 'yeah we certainly will go out, but we can't go to the restaurant you guys want because....'? I can think of a ton of other situations that could come up that would make this impossible too. I am all for trying to get healthier, but you two are clinically insane for thinking you can do this for a year.

pokerinc 0
I'm definitley in for a pool on the food bet. 2 week windows on when they break? Randomly selected in a drawing after the board is booked up for the year. Also, Chipotle uses free range chicken which is better than most local places so yeah, that's one of the few places I eat out at constantly b/c the quality's good and you can do a good job being healthy.Still hopefully the bet will inspire you guys to cook more which is way better than eating out. Find Farmer's markets near your houses and load up on good healthy tasty shit each week. I found fresh fish that I get every week, sushi quality ahi steaks for five bucks. Boo-yah.Good luck. (u/o Feb. 15th imo)
