gilbertology 0
What was that guys name on Cake Poker Snamuh? After epassporte went down they also lost their check processor so there was no way to cash out really for months, I remember trading someone $2800 for $2600 on Stars. They recently made checks available about a month ago. I got mine less than a week after I requested it, minus $35 courier fee.My issue with Cake network is I think it got a lot harder after April or so, with the sportsbook donks losing a lot of their money. There will still be some good games there but last few times I played they did not have many mid stakes games running not filled with regs. Maybe it's gotten better again recently? cwik 0
I really wish everyone would stop focusing on this. A VERY large percentage of our winnings is going to come from making hands and fish not folding. I was obsessed with it at a certain point too. After a while I realized the only thing that mattered was monies. If your goal is to make sure your money in non-SD pots is good, just open shove every flop but the goal in poker is to make money, regardless of how you do it.Edit: Also, specifically at the lower levels you REALLY shouldn't be concerned with that stat. Trying to get people to fold at lower levels is poker suicide.Double Edit: The REAL focus should be on getting max value from your made hands. That won't get you to post graphs where everyone is amazed at where your green line is compared to blue, but it certainly will make you a winning player. I just wanna comment on this real quick. I agree with you that idea here is to make the most money possible, and people should NOT try to play to particular numbers and graphs, but rather to their specific player/situation. However, I do wanna point out why I think certain pokerEV lines/graphs can be important. Basically, on paper a lot of use can figure out the ideal play for a specific hand history. While there can be disagreements, most good players will/can agree with an ideal line. This is usually called standard TAG play. This line is generally the most +EV line possible, and if someone always made this correct play they will almost certainly be a winning player, and probably crush the lower limits. The problem comes as a player moves up through the limits, and players start thinking on higher levels. Now this 'standard TAG play' (STP) can become a liability as one becomes rather predictable and much easier to read. While the STP, might not be easily exploitable, it also becomes less profitable, because your now better opponents are better prepared to deal with such a player. Obv the answer is to start mixing things up. Now we all already know this. But the point I am trying to make here is that there comes a time where it is not all about just makeing big hands and getting paid. Players with large gaps between green lines over blue lines, are not nessaraly more aggressive players, but more exploitive players. They are able to adapt to their opponents play and then make decisions that while in any single hand might not be what STP would call the most +EV line, but still be the optimal line for that time and place. I think that these players have an easier time moveing up the limits. Personally my blue and green lines tend to run together, and I not saying one style is more profitable then another, but I do believe that that players who are able to win with a high win $ w/o SD %, are going to be the better players in the long run. FWIW, I know rdog did mention that his point was more aimed at smaller stake players.
