Isn't Netteller A Non-u.s. Company?

I was thinking about writing a long argument about how illegal the prison camp at Gitmo is, but it would just take too long. Let's just say the U.S. ignores a TON of International Laws, and obviously not just about Gitmo.

I don't know how the US has jurisdiction. Let's ask this guy how it works.Noriega.jpg

wow, you guys are really two blind fools...if Bush could be re-elected, you would probably vote for him again...
It's funny how people who didn't vote love to weigh in on politics...Bush won...2x...deal with it...AS for your racist comment...go chock on a c ock...and quit talking race when it doesn't apply.

Surely a true democracy is one in which it is compulsory for everyone to vote and the opinion of every single citizen counts, whether they believe it should or not. I know there will be a chorus of people who will say they should get a choice, but seriously, we are living in an increasingly apathetic political world when many people can't be bothered or don't have time. The sooner the US forces everyone to vote, the sooner the weight of true public opinion comes to the fore.

USA can do whatever wants, whenever it wants, to whoever it wants. It's too bad its citizens don't have the same luxury anymore...
This is the most truthful thing ever said on these forums. That being said. How much money does it take to hire a lawyer to tell you to stay the hell out of the US?

Very silly post. "Free" does NOT mean do whatever you want. Citizens follow the laws.
I think Pot Odds is a smart guy by the quality of some of his posts but here is a perfect example of him taking everything way too literally. Hed probably call the cops if I took a bad beat and I said Im going to kill that guy.

dumb and racist....
I love Obama and think he would be one of the best presidents we could have in a long time. I also think Bush is the worst president in history. Never the less your comments are pretty f*cked up because the reason we have anything left is freedom of opinion and speech. You shouldn't just say "dumb" you should provide a little evidence and make a valid point. As far as the racist comment goes.... Im part black and I think that that was the most offensive statement Ive heard in a while. If you hate Idi Amin are you a racist?? There are f*cked up black people just like there are f*cked up white people and if you don't like a white guy its cool but if you don't like a black guy you are racist. it sounds like THAT is racist.

I would suggest all and any of you to google Maher Arar. This guys story is a huge wake up call to all and any person travelling into the United States. His story may not be big news in the US because the government has wanted it that way. However any Canadian who has picked up a paper in the past two years knows his story. It has been the biggest story in Canadian papers for that long. If you dont think the Bush administration is out of control you just dont have all the facts.....or you're ok with neo-fascists running your country.

Here's the complaint against Lefebvre ... while "money laundering" isn't mentioned, it says that Neteller generated funds through the "transfer of money between any combination of members or merchants" ... i.e., money laundering.http://www.casinocitytimes.com/news/articl...ontentID=163594(read #6, among others)
This isn't money laundering. If that was the charge the indictment would have language about money illegally onbtained and what that source was with a specific party named, and then specific language about how the money was transferred and made it's way back to the original party who obtained it through illegal means. I'm sure money is laundered through poker sites, I'd certainly do it that way if I had money to launder, but this indictment is about "conspiracy to commit gambilng." If it was about money laundering it wouldn't seem so ludicrous.
I'd like to know how the gov is going to make their case. Neteller LEGALLY accepts deposits from US customers. They in turn LEGALLY make deposits into gambling sites that are off shore. Reverse this, and they LEGALLY accept deposits from those sites and LEGALLY transfer those funds back to US customers. Why they should be forced by the US government to monitor where transactions are coming from before they distribute money to US customers is beyond me. This is like UPS receiving a package with just an address from a foreign country and asking them to determine if there is cocaine in that package before they send it into the US. Is that their responsibility? Should UPS be held accountable if that package is somehow seized and opened? It's no different. If there is no illegal link in the chain then the US has no case. But they'll certainly try to make one.
Well, they aren't LEGALLY accepting deposits if they have the intent to promote an illegal activity by facilitating the transfer of funds. If Neteller were servicing drug dealers and customers, the fact of the money transfer isn't a null part of the program. The government's case will be that Neteller isn't doing business generally like UPS is and some persons are using the service to engage in gambling; the gov't case is that Neteller was set up and operated specifically to promote the illegal gambling. No use arguing the case here, lawyers are going to do that and judges are going to make what will probably be something of a landmark decision.
