I'm going down to Foxwood's, never been there before and was wondering what I can expect to see for kinds of games/stakes will be available or usually are running. I assume NL but will there be Omaha, etc.? Thanks.

Foxwoods Casino Poker Room Overview: Foxwoods is the largest casino in the world, with over 11,000 employees, and while its poker room is not the largest card room in the country, it's still huge -- with 70 tables in the main room and 11 used mainly for poker tournaments in an adjacent area, and 5 more satellite tables. The room is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and you can find seven-card stud poker, Omaha poker, and of course, Texas Hold'em poker games, both limit and no-limit, to sit down and play at anytime.Foxwoods Casino: Poker Room Details: The majority of tables at Foxwoods spread Texas Hold'em, but there are also still many seven-card stud tables. The lowest limits have the most tables -- with more $2-4 limit Texas Hold'em, $1-2 No-limit Hold'em and $1-5 seven-card stud tables than I could count. Only four Omaha tables were scattered through the room. There were also a half dozen $4-8 Hold'em games, and a few tables each of limits up to $20-$40. On weekends, you can find limits as high as $150-$300.

They don't rake the pots, instead you have to pay $5 per half hour (at $1/$2 NL tables, anyway).Good luck and have fun!
Must be nice. Around here at the Detroit and Windsor casinos, they rake the pot AND you pay $6 per half hour.

Sit in the morning if you can …the poker room is a zoo on weekends.
This is less true than it used to be now that they've opened the new poker room. I play 5-10 or 10-20 every Saturday. I arrive around 5 p.m., and usually have a very minimal wait for a table--never more than 30 minutes. By comparison, you could wait as long as 4 hours for a 4-8 table on a Friday night in the old poker room.

When I played 4-8 back at the end of May they were raking the pot. So I think it depends on whether you're playing Limit or NL.

Where's that happen? It's either or at windsor, seat charge for NL ($6/.5hr 100max $7/.5hr 200max) or 10% up to 5 bucks rake for limit (for 3/6 at least)

Anyone ever play o8 there?
An old poster Aseem use to, if there is no game going ask to start an interest list, they will. On the weekend I bet you can get a game going.

The new room has 114 tables, waits are fairly low. As for the mixed games you can make a list of interest and they will fire up the game. There was a 2-4 HORSE game going there last week
