I think it will be blues based music but pretty dark lyricly and pretty heavy. With Newstead on bass It's going to be pretty Bass driven and Tommy likes to bash the skins pretty hard, plus he plays the drums too! lolI love this show and am looking forward to seeing what the final band looks like. -BearI laughed when Tommy said that. I think he said he OD'd and died on the way to the hospital and he remembers he was floating above his body and was watching everything that goes on. They had to give him a shot of adrenaline to bring him back. This is th inspiration behind the song Kickstart my heart. I was a big crue fan in the 90's and even went as Nikki for many a halloween.Tommy shouldn't be completely counted out for musical talent. The piano on Home Sweet Home is all him. I did catch Dilana's performance at the end of the show on Tuesday and thought it was really good. I thought she did a much better job with this song than Jill did a few weeks ago.I just read in Rolling Stone magazine this week that in order for the band to get their album out before the end of the year that the band had to record all the other parts before the new singer was crowned. Tommy Lee says that Gilby has these "crazy blues and rock influences" and the album ends up having "this retro, anthemy vibe". This makes me think this may be why Storm is still in the competition. In my opinion she seems to have the voice that would fit the blues/retro type of sound that they may be looking for. Link to post Share on other sites
