Tournament Stratagey

Recommended Posts

hey guys,I got this tourney coming up on Tuesday here at my local casino. There is 100 max ppl, and starting chips is 5000 with blinds at 25-50 to start. The first 4 levels are 20 min and the rest is 30. There is 1 rebuy period in the first hour, which gives u an additional 2500 chips. So, what would you guys do ? Take the rebuy after the first hand and start with roughly 7500, or play it like a freezeout and use the rebuy if you have to in the first hour ?Thanks

I'll take more chips if I can get them and not change my strategy at all. Then when people that rebuy when they have to come in, maybe I've got 4 times as many chips as they do and, well, that's a great position to be in. If I don't rebuy and someone goes on a good run and has a bigger stack than me by 2k in chips -and- I get the opportunity to take them out, well now I can't, because I didn't take more chips when I could. Now I just take most of their chips, and they can rebuy and they aren't that far behind me.When in doubt have the most chips at the table. If that isn't possible, be tied for the most. ;PMonty

Theres a game i play, 30buy in with 2rebuys/add ons for 20. 5k for al. blinds start at 20/40, go up slower before the break. if u dont need to rebuy, you can have 2 add ons. i notice tho, that if you dont get cards about 30mins after the rebuy period, you cannot possibly win. any advice.btw, you can only rebuy if you lose your chips

Is it an (1) add on or (1) rebuy? Or a straight one time rebuy? Cause then it's a no brainer...you rebuy right away as it has been said nine hundred times already.
