Entrepeneur 0
1. Couldn't help but post the pics. The course is amazing. I was looking for the vacuum cleaners they used on the rough (it was SO clean). Glad you dug thepics.2. Phil..yeah...man I hope he wins...3. Scott Van Pelt...Yeah...I'm sitting there on the par three tournament hole #6 and Scott is standing there. Nicklaus is walking up to the tee box. This lady next to us asks Scott for his autograph.. His answer is "Uh...Yes...I'll sign that, but (pointing over to The Golden Bear)..Jack Nicklaus is over there."Very funny to see his expression like, "You're an idiot..maybe get the legends of golf's autograph first. Great stuff man1) You cant tell how immaculate that course is on TV. Those pics were amazing2) Phil is a baller3) Scott Van Pelt is really bald
leftygolfer 7
I have been there for a practice round and on a Friday.Practice round is the best. U can take pics. Guys are smiling.Friday...it's all business. No cameras at all.The place is unbelievable. How about the guys in orange jump suits walking around picking up the garbage? They also don't rip u off on the food and bev. Great pics.I read that was Nicklaus' grandson (Charlie)on his bag. When he saw it was a "big bag", he asked Jack if he had a small one. Jacks response, " I don't have a " small bag".

Entrepeneur 0
Thanks...Great to be there. Really get an idea what the course is like. It was awesome watching the final round on Sunday. Way to go Phil. That's who I had voted for in the poll. One of those experiences I may not get again, so I'm grateful.New goal....Know somebody who can get us on the course to play a round.E

nutzbuster 7
I don't even know you and I hate you.Seriously...I HATE you! My dream tournament bro. (duh)Thanks for sharin!edit*:I can't compete with the great Ozium when it comes to encounters with golfs royalty, but here is my Nicklaus story anyway. The wife and I were up in N. Scottsdale several years back for the Tradition. We camped out on the 9th green and watched every "who's who" of golfs legends filter by one by one. Just an incredible day. At one point we got up to go to the club house for a drink, and I, being Mr. impatient, took off several steps ahead of my wife. I crossed a zone that is used for the pros walking from the 9th green to the 10th tee. Well I got all the way thru and they suddenly started to raise the ropes! My wife, being in a hurry to catch up to me (and not knowing anything about golf protocol) darts under and heads across to meet up with me, but I am now looking back at her in mid gesture going "NO, NO, GO BACK!". This stops her in her tracks, and now folks standing around are starting to laugh at her stuck in between the ropes! SO she freeks out, spins around to go back and runs smack into... JACK! I mean literally bumps hard right into the guy! I am looking on in terror (and feeling guilty for somehow getting her into this mess). But Jack grabs hold of her shoulders to steady her, looks her in the eyes and says "whoa! you o.k. little lady?". She says yes and that shes sorry and he just laughs, pats her shoulder and moves along. Unreal. Here's the sick thing. She didn't even realize until later who the heck she almost knocked down. She just about died when I told her, and then tried to kick my @ss!, lol.

I walked over to the ropes with my friend and got a good spot ( I like to watch the swings of the pros and see if I can find something that might work for me).As we are standing there, I nudge my friend and tell him to look next to me. It was no other than the man himself (seemed shorter in real life). It was really cool to see him out there watching his son. I didn't want to bother him, but others asked for his autograph. He was very gracious about it all.
