phil is a great poker player...he's extremely entertaining...and he's great for the game...anyone who thinks otherwise is an idiot.

Daniel (as well as others) are also all three of those things. However, they maintain those qualities without also acting like total Jackasses far too frequently. The moral being, you can be a great poker player, entertaining, and great for the game without being a douche.

yes, ur right...DN is a great poker player who's entertaining and great for the game WITHOUT being a douche...but my post wasnt about hellmuth being a douche or not...people are always saying how he cant play and that he's "bad for the game" and i dont agree with that...

Yes there is something wrong with him acting like a douche. You're right, everyone (or almost every) steams at one time or another. Not everyone conducts themselves like a child, as Phil often does. As for your second statement, I agree with you that Phil is a great hold em player. Unfortunately, the guy that he is talking garbage about in this clip is a much better poker player than Phil, has played longer than Phil, has made more money playing than Phil, and always conducts himself as a professional. I say unfortunately because all of these qualities posessed by Chip just highlight what a douch Phil can be.

I did pay close attention to the interview. I have a strong feeling that Chip Reese isn't going to be losing any sleep about Phil gunning for him. I do however agree with you statement about needed to think you are the best.
