Guest
I need help,I will be playing a "no-limit" home game this Friday which should have some pretty good players. I just know that these guys will want to play "Dealer's Choice" after. These are different forms of poker games but the chance of winning and losing money is greater. Can anyone forwardme a link on dif. poker games that would be included in Dealer's Choiceor offer any suggestions?? I don't want to lose money that night!

mbreon 0
Well, Dealer's Choice means that the dealer can essentially pick what they want for the game, so it's hard to say.....but bulk up on your no limit hold em, pot limit hold em, limit hold em, omaha, omaha hi/lo, pot limit omaha, 7 card stud, 7 card stud hi/lo, razz, five card draw, triple draw, triple draw 2-7, and you'll be fine. Whiskey16 1
and your midnight baseball, follow the queen, shopping with Jethro, 7 card hi/lo roll your own got it to get, 727, 727 suicide....there's more, I'm just bored with this now.In the wackjob games, don't chase. Be agressive with your big hands early, but don't keep putting money in if you don't start with something strong. Save your money.
killer 0
If /when you get choice, start a nlhe sit-n-go that'll take all night and have a second table for the guys that get knocked out to play their "dealers choice" games !!

ShakeZuma 585
www.homepokertourney.com and www.cardplayer.com both have stuff on different types of games, but if its a dealers choice like I'm used to, then you'll just have to learn them as you go.I have found, however, that many dealers choice games can be very profitable since many of the people playing will simply chase the whole way trying to play every hand, and if you play with some strategy, you can come out pretty nicely.I've actually made quite a bit of money off of 7 card no peak. weird. Turbo Dog 1
My favorite Dealer's Choice type game is Six Kick.Basically, it's 5 card stud Hi/Lo, with the option to buy a replacement card (either up or down) for the price of a big bet after action has been completed on the first 5 cards. Declare High, Low or Both in order of the last action. The game can be an action game, building fairly large pots. The dealer can see everything that happens ahead of him, and act/react accordingly. It's a huge advantage to be the dealer in this game.
