jayistheman 0
I don't know about you guys, but when i play on pokerstars or full tilt, i turn the avatars off.Anyone else?my reasoning is as follows:If i were to get angry in a game, a stupid little cartoon character will only make me madder. I recall some very tilty sessions in which a stupid little monkey cartoon outdrew me, and i started swearing at it.If I see someone on pokerstars with a picture of themselves acting like a retard, i deduce that they are retarded-- in the back of my mind, obviously. i fear that it may affect my play.that, and they look pretty tacky and cluttered.Anyone else turn them off? WhiteSpade 0
Wait a second... i've got a monkey avatar on stars! Not a cartoon though.. sorry.I can't stand avatars myself. I use poker mod backgrounds to dull the screen. I find it looks way better especially when using the Poker Ace Hud overlay.

You can also get different card types. I like it much better than staring at a bunch of cartoons in chairs on party.
SweetDaddyFreak 0
That British Guy with Blond Hair on Full Tilt. When ever that guy appears and they put the "smile" avatar on, I take a pen and jam it into a open flesh wound on my knee to take my mind of the stupid smile and stupid pink sweater thing that guy wears. I tried to cash a bonus on FT.Lost 1 1/4 quarts of blood in a little under 4 hours.I now play on Party to cover the hospital bills and the full-time nurse I had to hire as a result. Stealth Beagle 0
I have found that at the low-limit tables at FTP nearly anyone with the hockey player avatar is a donkey who will play any two and call you down with almost nothing. Not sure why that is, but I really have noticed it.

finztotheleft 0
I like the avatars on Fulltilt, they help me keep track of some of the other players....kind of like on here. As I am scrolling down to the next post, I notice whether it's a familiar avatar before I zero in on the poster's name.
