I'm about to drink wine and eat french fries. Gourmet.edit: Yep...I liked my own post.

I'm back in the land of cold weather, wind, and snow. I left CA on a day it reached 90 degrees and arrived in Anchorage to 12 degree weather, caught a plane to Unalaska where it was 34 with 2 inches o

Josh, need me to start proofing your blog?exadurating it took me a second to realize you meant exaggerating.
Okay, here's my trip report (sans pics/videos, though, because they're all on my old computer and I haven't got them off yet.The first stop was going to be at Tim's on Saturday night in Pittsburgh. My buddy Gerry, who I go to the casino in Niagara Falls called me and asked if I wanted to head down Friday night. Then I could stay at his place and head out from there Saturday (it's on the way anyways). So off I go to the casino.Max buy in at Casino Niagara in the 1/2 game is 100, so in I buy and immediately run it up to 180. about an orbit later, I'm buying back in. Over the next three hours, I run it up to just over $600. Couple hard luck hands and I walk out up about 200 on the night, a great way to start the trip. Go for brekkie Saturday morning and head out to Tim's about 10:30 (five hour drive). So I get to the border and you never know how long it's going to take to cross. The lines are short and I'm in line behind a taxi. Don't do this. They take forever to clear. I spend maybe fifteen minutes waiting to be the next car through. As I'm waiting, I see a guy get out of his minivan about half-a-dozen cars back. He has brown skin, looking like middle eastern descent. I'm thinking this isn't going to end well. One of the US border guards sees him and starts walking towards him with her hand on her gun (still in its holster). She's yelling at him to get back in his car. All of a sudden the place is crawling with border guards, like ants swarming a picnic, they were coming out of the woodwork. And within 30 seconds it was all quiet again, apparently the guy was just an idiot and nicely got back in the vehicle when he saw all the nice gun-wielding people start coming his way.So the trip continues. While passing through Meadville (home of the gang bang) i sent a message to Renae (I'm in Meadville and it made me think of you). Roll into SLF's place about 4:30, and off we go. I have to say, I've never met a person who's more proud of his hometown than Tim is about Pittsburgh. The reason he'll never wed is that he's already married to that town. The three of us go on a two-hour tour of the downtown that included a couple of university campuses, the warehouse district and everywhere else worth seeing, including taking the trolley up to the Coldest Place on Earth. Apparently, Voldy and Tim like to eat, cause as we're driving around the downtown every 20 seconds Tim points out a restaurant and says some variation of "Oh, Voldy and I ate there, it was goot". Even Rachel was commenting about it.We go to this one place to eat, but the wait was a couple hours. We head over to Primanti Bros. where I have I my first giant sammich and my first Iron City Light (next time, I'll order something that actually has some beer in it). Good sammich, though. We wander over to the Irish pub next door and grab a real beer. Then we meet up with a friend of theirs at another bar and drink us some Molsons that were uber cheap. A good night's sleep and it was off to DC in the morning to pick up Shaver.I get Shaver just after lunch and we drive down to Tommys place in Durham. Trust me, the drive goes much faster when you have someone along with you, and we got in there around 7, already starving. Well goddamm if tommy isn't playing like a dozen of the Sunday tourneys. We tried to order pizza, but that didn't happen for some reason, so then we went to a nice restaurant/bar called Champs, i think, around 11 p.m. I think they kept the kitchen open for us. Had me some pulled pork, it was tasty. Had a few beers, went for breakfast the next morning then 8 more hours of driving until spending Monday night in a Motel 6 in Jacksonville. The next day I was off to my first game, NY Mets vs. Houston in Kissimmee. Great day for ball, then off to see Voldy and Mrs. Asstastic. Dinner at some Magic Mushroom pizza place, really good, and had the raspberry beer, something a little different, but quite drinkable. Then Voldy cheated at wii mariokart to beat me (I keed, i keed, I'd never played before). Breakfast was my first ever trip to Cracker Barrel where i tried grits for the first time. Drove down to Port Charlotte, saw the Pitt/TB game on Wednesday then drove up to Clearwater and watched the Yankees/Phil game Thursday afternoon. Then met up with Dustin and we went down to the beach for grouper sandwiches. Again, everything was great. All the food on the trip was.Friday we went for lunch at Five Guys and then saw the Yankees/Reds in Tampa. Saturday we caught the Tigers/Jays game 15 minutes from Dustin's place then met up with all three Voldys at California Pizza Kitchen. After a saunter around the mall, we decided to track down a Starbucks (surprisingly difficult). I was riding with Mrs. Asstastic and skylar and it turns out the Mrs. has a temper. The parking lot at Starbucks was kind of confusing, with one-ways and not too many parking spots. So I started teasing her about her driving ability. Well, I thought she was playing along when she started firing back. Not so much, it turns out, when she refused to get out of the car. I had to go and tell her I was just playing around, busting chops, and she finally relented and joined us.That ended the main purpose of the trip, which was seeing some spring training ball games, and Sunday morning I headed out for Atlanta. The driving was largely uneventful, good weather, few traffic tieups. Two things stuck out: 1. Did you know there's no crime in South Carolina? I know this because every fricken cop in the stat is parked along the highway, with speed traps set up every five miles or so. Thanks good for cruise control. 2. The most frustrating thing about the Interstate is the changing speed limits, from 55 to 65 to 75, back down to 60. Pain in the ass.Norm's was pretty relaxing, although waking up to frost on my window in Atlanta was pretty unexpected. Off to lunch with the Hickens in Nashville. I was supposed to stay overnight, but decided to drive straight on through to Indy. Worked out well for everyone as some unexpected things cropped up for the hickens and it would have been complicated. Had dinner at a Greek restaurant in Indy with the Nicosons, the Millers, and Kristen's friends, Tim and ??(forget her name, dammit. I'm old). Great dinner, but Tim is quite the character. He makes Sammy seem like a bleeding heart liberal commie. Wow.And then the drive back home. A great trip and thanks to everyone who opened their home to this old-man Canadian.
yah...ooooooooooooooook

I'm guessing it's not 200 dollars an hour, but I hear they are expensive in Toronto...
I'm guessing her time is worth more than that since she is a mother fucking princess or did you forget?

So.. I saw the Chief of Breast Surgery today at Hackensack University Hospital.. Apparently he thinks I am totally fine to get my lift and he also does not see any reason to have my masses removed at this time. They will be monitored in the future for growth, but he said there is no way possible for them to ever turn cancerous and I can live with them for the rest of my life and never know it.. He also could not feel them during my breast exam along with every other doctor, Me and Chris.. I think they are making it up lol
This is fabulous news! I'm so happy for you.

The difference with you and Norm is neither of you have a little expense that a lot of us do including spice... kids. Killing your liver on a daily basis doesn't count. 300 dollars buys a lot of diapers.
Norm's condo payment costs more than your rent + your kids. Just sayin'.Just because a person has kids doesn't mean anything.Plus SHE'S A MOTHERFUCKING PRINCESS.

'grats on the good news shar, gl.good afternoon folks, home early after seeing a dentist for a diagnosis. I go in for a root canal next tuesday. They don't use nitrous. I'll be blazing a fat joint before that time in the chair.
As your attorney I advise you to find a new dentist.

It's Tim and Kelly and yes, he does make Scott look like a political softy. I usually tune him out when he goes political. That night, I just focused on my wine and giant dinner.
Regardless of his political leanings, I :club: Tim. Kelly too. If you wanted pulled pork, Blue, you shoulda made Tim make you pulled pork. Guarantee it was better than whatever you had in Carolina.

I love you. Fear and Loathing references crack me up.

He makes a mean corned beef and a delectable pastrami, too. He has a way with smoked meat.

Watching Red Wings/Blackhawks with a Red Wings fan right now. Luckily, we're at a place that has 160 beers on tap, which eases the pain of hanging out with a Red Wings fan.GO HAWKS!

Is that Italian? Don't you need to translate that into American for the hillbillies?

Thank you for noticing! So I'm all edgy lately. I'm killing myself on this diet to loose the rest of the weight that I put on while I was pregnant, but it's killing me. I'm all pissy, and bitter, I know how is this different from normal. I think I'm just mad at myself that I let myself eat everything in sight when I was pregnant and now only see celery and water in my future. Also, Stacks the cat has been missing since Sunday. I don't think he's coming home, this also makes me sad. Damn animals why do I get attached to you? First my dog now Stacks, bah. At least I still have a lizard to cuddle up to.
