Sushiman 0
What is this sidebet nonsense? And how many tables do they let you play now?I guess they upped the tables because they got tired of the multitablers giving their money to the skins?

And how many tables do they let you play now?I guess they upped the tables because they got tired of the multitablers giving their money to the skins?I'm pretty sure they fuck you pretty hard on the sidebet. It pays 8-1, but the odds have to be much worse than that of the flop being all red or all black. So, I've refused to make that sucker bet so far and I really have no interest in it. However, blackjack is another story. It gives you the illusion of some control over your destiny, and after winning a little bit, I lost it all back...so I'm now almost exactly even playing blackjack. I definitely need to stop myself on that.
tskillz187 0
my friend has emailed them asking them to take these features away from hm because of his lack of self control i find it pretty amusing.I believe that the flop comes one color 1:9 and they are paying 8:1 so they are getting the best of it by quite a bit. pretty interesting though, and can only hurt the serious poker player. given1982 0
Someone correct my math. It seems like if you have 2 cards of the same color and bet on the flop to be all the other color, the odds are (26/50)*(25/49)*(24/48)=15600/117600=1/7.54, which would make it a winning bet anytime you have 2 cards of the same color if they're paying out 8-1. But obviously Party wouldn't let you make a bet where they didn't have the advantage. What's wrong with my math?
FileError404 0
I don't play any of those features but I'm pizzed they put em therein the first place. It only will give the anti-gambling lobbyists (sp?) more ammo to enforce anti-gambling laws. Kids will lose lots of money REAL quick and The mighty "it's skill" defense will be out the window. Stoopid strategy to make more money...could cost them dearly in the long run... greedy bastadds...

What's wrong with my math?I haven't done any of these bets yet, and I have no clue whether your math is good or not, but assuming it is...I would guess that you can't bet after you've seen your own cards. You probably have to bet before the hand is dealt. Dunno though.

acesfullx 0
You must make your sidebet on a one colour flop before you have seen your cards. So chance of all black or all red would be (26/52)(25/51)(24/50) = 2/17 . The chance that it will happen is 2/17, and the chance that it wont happen is (1 - 2/17) = 15/17: so the odds are 15:2 or 7.5:1 against a flop of 3 of the colour that you specified. When you make the bet (say $5) they take the $5 from you, and if you win "Flop all 1 color pays 8 for 1" you would get back $40, but $5 of this is your original bet so they are actually paying you 7:1 on your bet despite their slick wording of "Flop all 1 color pays 8 for 1". So they are paying you 7:1 on a bet that is a 7.5:1 dog, which gives them a 5.88% house edge.

DCWildcat 0
+ev for usit's definately +ev for someone.I don't know. I see two sides to this coin:Side 1) Hosting blackjack will bring more gamblers to the site. Evidence that this works: the amazingly soft games at pacific and interpoker, which are strongly affiliated with casinos. +EV for us.Side 2) Simply offering blackjack won't fulfill the needs of most gamblers who might also want to play craps, roulette, sports betting, etc. It won't attract more players, and furthermore, fishy gamblers already on the site will start putting money that should have gone to us into blackjack and sidebets. That's -EV.I'm more inclined to agree with the latter. I'd rather see a chump with $20 at a .5/1 table hump that over to me rather than on 10 $2 blackjack bets.
monoatomic 0
The black jack program is just as crooked as the one on pokerroom. Anytime you up your bet after making a consistent wager you lose at least 3 in a row. I hate the thought of BJ even being there. To tempting to jump in with money when you are losing in poker.Did anyone read the article in the NY Post this morning about party poker? Their stock is now worth 5.5 pence on the london stock exchange....I wouldn't be surprised to see the site crumble in the near future if they don't do something really quick to turn things around.
