From Jackpot Jay's column on ESPN.com:"Since there are very few, if any, reliable studies available that demonstratethe percentage of winners -- and big winners -- from among the tens of millionswho play the game, you are probably wondering how I "know" this. Well, as itturns out, there is one group that can -- and does -- track this kind of stat, though they are not about to publicize the results. That group consists ofonline poker site management, two members of which revealed to me at the WSOPthat what intuition suggests must be true -- only 8 and 7 percent, respectively,of all players on their sites finish the year in the black. And I'm not talkingabout deep in the black, either. The vast majority of those winners are notabout to give up their day jobs."Now, I ask again, which of you is a lying fool? lol, funny, you guys will claim to be the 7%, 2+2er's will claim the same thing and so will the guys at cardplayer.com. ROFLMMFAO!!!!! and btw, I seem to remember someone accepting my challenge and wanting to put up 10G's, he was supposed to pm me about how to reach him and where we will keep this money, funny, not a word from him either, bunch of lying chickenshxts!!! LOL get a real life and quit lying online, see ya in the casino! peace

Wrong. Anybody with Pokertracker and 20k stats can look at the average BB/100 of their combined villains and tell you that it's pretty clear that most online players are losing fishies.

But Blaze, he said it first! His genius was so incredible that he came up with that statement all by himself, with no training wheels. And then he found a source to support it (or maybe the other way around, found source, then said it).We should all be in awe of this guy, as he's clearly so much smarter than all of us.

I wouldn't put the number of online players clearing $25,000 per year any higher than 5-10% either, truth be told. Not a knock on anyone here, I'm sure there are some people in this forum doing quite well for themselves, but every FCP'ers blog I've read here so far tells me that not many of us are over $5-10 grand in the black. Personally, I can't win for trying at online poker, despite the fact that I'm a solid player who does very well in home and B&M games. You would have to make $220 per week, every single week without fail just to earn the same money as a minimum wage job pays ($5.50 per hour x 40 hours) and I don't believe very many online players are pulling that off. Just my .02

Tens of millions? ok lets go with just 10 mil. 7% of that is 700,000. there are no more than 20k combined members of 2+2 Cardplayer and FCP.
