I’m mostly just in awe that something like 40% of Americans now fully believe that $5B to build a few pieces of wall is somehow synonymous with border security and will somehow keep them safe. Because obviously the billions in illegal drugs that come into the states is just walked across the border, and all the private airstrips and ships that actually transport it will be magically stopped by a wall.

 

Dale’s post about executive powers is interesting, but it’s more interesting to me just how shockingly stupid you have to be to think a mother****ing wall is going to do anything, and how insane you’d have to be to think the guy who completely ignores actual ports of entry, immigration rules, removes financial regulations, destroys relationship with actual governments, strictly divides Americans on cultural, religious, racial and political lines and stops paying federal employees is the one who actually cares about national security because...he wants to build a big wall.

I usually take 20-30 mins each night and watch David Muir (ABC World News Tonight) and read up on the day's happenings. I then take the next 2 hours to try not to be pissed off and want to punch people in the face.

I’m not agreeing with either side or policy however if Democrats want more support and maybe win the White House they better get better people than Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer. If Nancy Pelosi said she was a Leaf fan. I might switch my allegiance. That’s how much she annoys me

The US like Canada needs immigrants since it's hugely beneficial to our countries. If the immigrants were coming from Ireland and Germany the Stephen Miller wing wouldn't have a problem with immigration.

I don’t know who Miller is but that’s a stupid argument and view he has. I think most sensible people like me want illegal immigration stopped. That’s not a right wing issue. It’s been preached from Clinton to Obama to Schumer.

absolutely, if you travel a lot into the US, you know from US CBP questioning their number one concern is that you will be leaving the US once you’re there. They want a return ticket, proof that you have funds to travel home. They DGAF what the hell youre going to do, they just want to make sure you’re going to leave.
