I would put QT as #2 on a list of writers, after the Coens, but he would not be near the top of my top 10 directors, and the Coens would be.

I was giddy after the first time I saw Kill Bill Vol. 1. I would've just sat in the theater and watched it again if it wasn't the last showing of the night.

God I was the same way. I'd been waiting so long, and it was so awesome. Kill Bill 2 was actually a let down at the time. I absolutely hated the ending, as I thought it was anticlimaxtic. Not to speak ill of the auto-erotically deceased, but having caradine was a mistake. But I like Kill Bill 2 much, much more now. I suppose my list is Pulp, IG, Kill Bill's, Res, Jackie, and I love jackie brown. If the coen's weren't so ****ing good, he'd be my favorite auteur.

I've seen both The Prestige and Illusionist multiple times and I really enjoyed them both.

The Prestige is mostly about practical effects, right? You can make a big trick if you're willing to kill a couple of pigeons, make yourself physically uncomfortable, and practice the same thing for a couple hundred hours.The end of The Prestige has a sudden belief in real magic, in a way that is totally at odds with 90% of the movie. Not really up to something. Ripptyde's name and picture aren't exactly state secrets, they've been plastered all over nwp/dd for years, with all manner of black cocks inserted into the pictures. I just think X22 is hilarious, and jewdy's bucked toothed grin only adds to the hilarity of that picture.
