He finished 2nd in the $10K limit event at the WSOP last year. I used to play with Pat and Daniel in the 10/20 game at the Fundtime Charity Casino in Toronto a lifetime ago.Greg you are right mostly plays live high stakes limit but will also play live tournaments and has played high stakes limit online as well.I have no inside knowledge but my guess is that the NAPT must be coming to Canada somewhere and they wanted to have more Canadians on Team Poker Stars. This event marked his debut in that position and it has not ended well. Pezzin was recently spotted slowly departing the tournament room, backpack slung over his shoulder. He stopped at a side table to grab a free bag of Miss Vickie's potato chips (Simply Sea Salt variety) before heading out the door. The player on the button called as well and the three of them saw the flop roll out A 4 10 .It was checked to the player on the button and he bet 1,000. Negreanu was the lone caller, leading to the 4 turn card. Both players checked, delivering the 9 on the river. Negreanu bet 1,500 and really frustrated his opponent with the bet. After a few minutes of mumbling, his opponent called.Negreanu tabled A 5 and it was good, upping his stack to about 40,000.markysals 31k third break. Daniel Negreanu exclaimed to me.Since the last thing we humble bloggers should be doing is disciplining the players, I wondered if the comment was even directed at me. But I saw Negreanu's own Blackberry lying on his lap and couldn't help but point to his PDA. "Oh, that's legal. On your lap is legal. Believe me, I've asked. So is this," he said, as he placed his Blackberry atop his coffee cup. "Look! It's floating! It's not touching the table!" Apparently, there have been some questions about the casino policy on texting at the table. This player pool is certainly used to having the freedom to SMS and Twitter to their hearts' delight and like Negreanu, some are grumbling about the rules here. A floorman with a bemused expression on his face approached Negreanu's table. "I think you should give a penalty to Daniel. Make an example of him," joked Kathy Liebert. "You know I used to do this all the time in school. Breaking rules I thought were dumb," said Negreanu, returning his Blackberry to his lap. Link to post Share on other sites
