Email I received today:Bodog is finally open to poker players in Canada. One of the largest sites in the world, Bodog offers plenty of action on the felts, including its weekly $100,000 Guaranteed, which features a massive overlay every week. How are the games there? Worth opening an account?

If it's good enough for a young internet scamming multi-accounter and a foot fetish porn star, it's got to be good enough for Canadians
This is great for Bodog. Canadians will go crazy in their casino games without fear of repercussions in afterlife due to their lack of a soul.

As a Canadian myself, so no direct experience, I have heard good things about the softness of play, but it is 4 tables max per player. If you do sign up, make sure to pm Kurt (Suited_Up) as his rakeback site can hook you up with a vip deal.

Bodog poker is soft from what I've seen the few times I've played there. I don't suggest you use their sportsbook though.

Doesnt Bodog have alot of cashout issues? Also saw their software on a training site video and it looked terrible.
I've cashed out 5-6 times and only had one issue. The first few times it was Western Union and it went fine. The last time I cashed out they sent me a check and it bounced, but they quickly made good by sending it WU. Software is improved and the bad play makes up for it. This should help with the traffic, can be pretty slow at some limits.

You do have a point Kurt, I did have some good mirco brews that are very good that are American, and chrozzo's beer thread is actually pretty good info in it. It's just some of the more famous brands don't live up to there billing. Plus when I am in the States I do try the different beers out, so don't worry I do my test tasting out. I just find that the mirco breweries are much better than the bigger companies.

Figured someone would ask... From what I've seen their odds are always off from other books that I refer too like 5dimes, pinnacle, or looking at most books at wagerline (compare some of the lines psu and I use on the same games). I've had the lines change on me when I logged in because they knew what kind of bettor I was so the lines were shifted in a direction*. It could be that the line changed in this example from the 10 seconds I was logged out to when I was logged in but there have been more drastic changes. I don't know if that's standard with books. Also, they always seemed to have more juice on the games that I was interested in and their lines were always the slowest to come out (matters more with baseball and totals are still not up for this week's college games)* Small exampleMe not logged in Team a-14 (-105) team b +14 (-115) Me logged in team a -14 (-115) team b +14 (-105)

It wouldn't surprise me at all if they offer different odds to different bettors based on certain patterns in that bettors history. If somebody only bets dogs then they would offer worse odds on the dogs as an example.

It wasn't really about which is better, just that there are so so so many good American beers. But yes, Belgian ones are very good.

Yeah, stuff like that, but I've seen it be different by a full point or 2 and juiced more, so that turned me off about bodog. Is stuff like that standard with a lot books, Bob? I haven't noticed anything like that when I've used 5dimes.

American beer brewing, thanks to the micro brewery, has come a very long way since the days when you could only get Coors, Budweiser Michelob and whatever the local "big" brewer was.Samuel Adams is a terrific East coast brewery. Anchor Steam is it's West coast counterpart. And I'm sure there are many throughout the USA that can match up to most beers. That being said, my favorite "regular" beer is from Montreal, a small country in Quebec, a sub-nation of Canada, if you will. It's a brewery called St-Ambroise and I love their Pale Ale. I hardly ever drink Molson or Labatt anymore. Since I've been in Toronto, I've become a fan of Creemore and Steam Whistle. I may drink Sleeman's on occasion. My gf likes Corona, but doesn't drink much, so most of the beer drinking responsibility falls on me. <sigh> I'll have to live with that...

I have no idea how common it is but it does go on at some books.

Most people won't have a clue that it's going on and those that do many sports books don't want their business. There are also books out there that will lower the max bet size for players who they consider sharp to a very low limit.
