yahaw 0 Posted June 2, 2009 Share Posted June 2, 2009 Here's the hand in question 3 players in the hand 2-7 triple draw NL2 draws left, player A draws 1 card, player B draws 1 card , player C draws 1 card.player A checksplayer B bets $5player C raises to $12A says "fck 82345" and proceeds to fold B then says "8642x" and also folds.A and B are buddies regs that chat with each other pretty much daily , C is an unknown.Now is it against rules to call out your hand in a cash game when there's still action? I emailed stars and heres what support said to me , I dont know what the correct rule is but by player A calling out his cards before player B folded makes his decision alot easier imo.Here's what support said.Thank you for your email. In a cash game, players may reveal the contents of their hands at anytime because it is to their disadvantage. It is considered very poor etiquette but not in violation of the rules. Talked to Stars support out of curiosity and they informed me that it was against their rules and that a repeat offense would evolve to disqualification. Link to post Share on other sites

I guess they do this every day so they can't think outside the box about it. They think of collusion as only when they can PROVE players are assisting each other in tandem to gain an edge against remaining opponents. If they thought for one second, in a case like this, even if you can't prove any "formal" collusion, it's clearly beyond "bad etiquette" to reveal your hand with action still behind.Honestly, they have their blinders on so horribly in this response basically saying "no one would be stupid enough to collude using the chat box....so it's just bad etiquette, but okay."that's just not right.
