pbwl11 0
I'm headed to Vegas April 16-20 for the bowling tourney staying downtown and looking for some nice, soft, fishy games. I'm looking to play either 1/2nl or 2/4 3/6 lhe.I'd like to go to the Golden Nugget cus I've heard that's soft, but I'm not sure about the no max rule at the 1/2 game. I don't want to buy in for $300 and be facing $3000 stacks! lol. What about the Plaza, Fitz's or Binions? I may take a trip out to the strip for a day too. What's beatable out there? Thanks in advance for the advice!

Most people in the 1/2 game bought in for 100-300 only seen one person buy in for more, like 10k but he was just showing off and was the biggest nit I have ever played check calling all the way with a set. Binions has too many degenerate grumpy locals grinding out a free sandwich. Plaza didnt have any nl going and appeared to be on its last legs. Didnt play fitz.

He asked if I was coming to play as I walked by...A quick scan of the poker "area" showed a grand total of three other people inside, one of whom being the dealer for said tournament. lolz. pbwl11 0
I tried the reviews on allvegaspoker.com website, but that hasn't been updated since July of 2008, so I don't know how relevant that info is nowadays. Is there another website I can check out?Do most of the poker rooms allow Ipods? I swear my B&M here must be the last place that has a rule against them. What's the best place to get good comps for a 5 day trip?Where's the best room to go to go poker star sightseeing? How tacful would it be to go up and ask for an autograph or pic if they're not in a hand, if you can get close to them at all?

Comps are pretty standard at the worthwhile rooms at $1 an hour food credit and maybe a slightly cheaper room(the GN doesnt have a poker room rateWhere's the best room to go to go poker star sightseeing? Some take issues with texting/phone usage at the table but it varies by room. The Nugget is easily the nicest property downtown. Don't worry about the no-max rule, like above posters said very few people buy in extremely deep.
GetSprung 0
Binion's new poker room is really nice. Def. play there at least one day for the hell of it. Or just walk through what the hell do I care. Also, they now have $3 rake. I was dealing and honestly had no clue until someone told me. Hooray temps.
ajs510 122
Stay the hell away from Binions, it's a rock garden and a shark tank all rolled into one. I have no experience with any of the other downtown rooms, when I go to Vegas for poker there's really no reason to ever leave the Strip.
pbwl11 0
So if I spend a day on the strip, where's the best play to play? I've heard Imperial Palace and the MGM Grand are easy pickings on the weekends. Any other places I should target? But not Excalibur, cus I don't think I'd like that electronic gaming thing.Anyone been to the extreme rides on the Stratosphere? How sick are they?
pezeveng 207
I play the 2-5 at Ballys so Iam thinking the 1-2 game would be about the same. Usually 3 very loose tourists, 3 young kids building a roll and grinding it out, and 3 old timers that switch gears at any given time.Plus I like that they have a high hand jackpot which is always a bonus.Check out Ballys if you can deal with the noise its worth playing.
