Question Rake %

Recommended Posts

Not sure I understand the question. Why would the rake make any win rate unsustainable? If you're asking how high the rake would have to be for a game to be unbeatable... dunno. Why?

I live in Boston, MA and the New Hampshire poker rooms offer low limit holdem cash games that are 2-4 and something called 4-4. The NH law states that no bet can be more than $4 so the big game they offer is 4-4. It's the same structure as a typical 2-4 game but instead of $2 increments preflop and on the flop, everything is in $4 increments for every street. The NH rooms take 10% of the pot up to $7. This is a very high rake. Interested in hearing thoughts on these games. Are they beatable? Is it a severe waste of time?
