I'll add one to that:2. Why do I see more and more "Hoodiez" avatars and sigs popping up? Is it a condition of getting staked/coached or are they just really excited about your non-poker business venture? And on a serious note...3. Do you have any interest in trying other games, or is 10-tabling NLHE 6 max tables your niche?4. How strict is your work regimen? How many hours per day do you put in? Do you have set start times and break times, or do you just target x hours (or x hands) per day so that you can take a break whenever necessary?
2. No. For the most part I think a lot of what you see is people trying to be funny. I haven't asked anyone to use it. I think Sean and Jesse might be the only ones that have it now? 30 Handicap was co-founder so he has it for good reason.3. I have interest. I'm just not willing to go through the learning curve of not making money for a while as I attempt to improve at this point. Maybe sometime in the future.4. I wouldn't call it strict. I don't tell myself I have to play a certain amount of hands or a certain amount of hours a day. Poker is so fluid in that there are definitely times when you aren't playing at your optimal that you need to quit that I think making those types of strict guidelines are silly. The hours really depend. I usually like to put in 2 3 or 4 hour sessions. The amount of coaching I am now doing has put quite a dent in the number of hours I spend playing. I usually start playing between 7 and 8 AM and then play until 11 or 12. Sometimes if things are going bad I will stop earlier and take an early lunch. And then I try and come back and do another session after lunch. I am still working on figure out how to work coaching in, lately it has stopped me from putting in the late session a lot and therefore, I haven't put in nearly as many hands as I would like to this month.

It's going fine. We have started seeing orders from people that have found us through search engines which is good. The "store" we use has started doing commission advertising so hopefully that helps quite a bit. Just like any online business it is just going to take a while before we start seeing profit. Probably within the next couple weeks we are going to do a few discount promotions so hoping that increases sales quite a bit.Honestly, I'm not even sure how it happened. We were trying different things and everyone you talk to really likes hoodies so we figured why not. Our eventual goal is to get them in some small stores maybe but we need to build the brand name a bit first.
Start making them with combined colors, you know gang colors. :club: Ok, anyway, I see that you put in a lot of hours playing online, do you put any into live play? I mean, I know that you've played live, but do you ever want to try and grind live instead? I mean, IDK how far a casino is from you. In alot of your posts you mention that it's about the money for you, it's not really trying to like move up in levels just for the sake of moving up. So, is the reason why you play more online because you can multi-table?Also, Vick needs some weed ASAP!!

I live 30 minutes from Commerce but my hourly online is going to be more than playing live. Maybe someone else can answer what they think a good player can make playing 5/10 at Commerce. I'm sure you can still make a decent hourly but I doubt it is more than me 10 tabling 1/2 online. Plus I don't have to deal with driving and dealing with annoying personalities (well, except on FCP occasionally).

I'm def doing it out of support for Rod and the company. If just a few people see it and visit the site, maybe one will be inclined to make a purchase and really like it and that one person tells other people and it spreads. It might not seem like a lot, but word of mouth is a very powerful tool especially for a young business.

Ok, in all honesty, it might be better if the address of the site was in your avatar instead of just the logo. Have it like RDog's.

Not harsh...truth...This is honestly why some people will never get better at poker. You admit to being "too lazy to reread the whole thread" and want someone to spoonfeed you the answer. This thread is a WHOPPPING 5 pages (or 10 if you have it the other way). If you can't even take the time to go back through a lousy 5-10 pages...then quite frankly you will never get better at this game. So I guess quit asking all sorts of questions. All you really want is someone to spoonfeed you the info and you probably expect someone to spoonfeed you how to play hands and expect to spoonfeed you a solid winrate. Sorry boss...poker doesn't work that way and pretty much every great player on this site...or any site for that matter...takes the time and energy to read, learn, absorb, reread, relearn, etc etc. and nobody gets it "spoonfed" for them.Just kinda irritates me that Rdog takes the time to give people great info...all free of charge...and some people are too lazy to even read it when it's right in front of them...meh...
Way too serious a response and no offense, I know you're solid but this response was a touch douchy. Rdog's obv. solid too but he could have just said 50 or 100 or whatever again, it's not a big deal. I'm not looking to start a fight, just sayin.

I never grinded micros. I had a roll from playing tournaments. I think at the very low levels bankroll should be a big determining factor when to move up. As you get to say 100 I think it should be skill level more than bankroll. Meaning that you should have reached a certain skill level and have the bankroll for the next limit. I think its fine to "take shots" with 20 buy ins for sure.
Alright Vick and Rdog, I wasn't lazy and reread all of rdog's responses now that I have the time and since I'm not at work. this was all I could find regarding the bankroll issue. What does the bolded part mean? I'm confused, 100nl or 100 buyins?

I think to be honest you are completely missing the point of both Vick's and RDog's posts. Even if you don't apply it to poker, it's useful in all walks of life. One of the biggest problems both in poker and today's societies are people looking for a set guide to doing something, a quick fix. There aren't any, and people searching for them need to understand that it isn't a set routine that everybody should do that makes them successful.Bull posted a really good 2p2 thread about a player beating midstakes significantly and basically talking about stuff like this.Edit: He meant 100nl

I'm entirely aware of what you are saying and what Vick was saying. Let's just say, I prefer your delivery of it much better. Believe it or not, outside of poker, I do ok.oh yah, I did read bull's link, it was a good one. thx Edited by Dratj

Also, Vick needs some weed ASAP!!
Actually the last thing on earth I need is weed!!!! I am a brazzilion times better at home now w/ Cyndi and Ryan. If I vent steam on this forum from time to time instead of at home...so be it!!! Rather have "mostly" random people at FCP feel my wrath than people irl!!!

No it wasn't douchy...it was the truth. I am not trying to start an e-fight either, but aren't u the guy who went busto or something recently? I don't get involved in every FCP'ers life...but I remember something about you going busto by either playing way too far out of your roll or drunk or both. After Rdog himself, you have the 2nd most posts in this thread. So here you are basically posting questions to hear/see yourself post? He tells you the answer is in the thread...look it up, and you go 'harsh, man....harsh". It wasn't harsh...and while my answer may have been harsh...it was the truth. Babylondonks is 100% correct. I see soooooo many people on this forum and others looking for the "magic" formula to be better and that is the impression I get from you. Rather than study on your own...and do all the stuff I outlined before, you ADMITTED to being too lazy to even read what was ALREADY THERE. I am not gonna feel sorry or "douchy" about that tbh. If you don't want to go busto again...actually get good at poker and have the discipline for the game...then take the "harsh and douchy" criticism to heart and look at yourself. If not...then continue to post here and make yourself look dumb and have others look at you that way. Good luck to ya!!!

Don't know about anyone else, but this is what I heard from Vick:img_fewgoodmen.jpgVick12: You want answers?Dratj: I think I'm entitled to them.Vick12: You want answers?Dratj: I want the truth!Vick12: You can't handle the truth! Son, we live in a world that has walls. And those walls have to be guarded by men with guns. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Santiago and you curse the Marines. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know: that Santiago's death, while tragic, probably saved lives. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives...You don't want the truth. Because deep down, in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that wall. You need me on that wall.We use words like honor, code, loyalty...we use these words as the backbone to a life spent defending something. You use 'em as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom I provide, then questions the manner in which I provide it! I'd rather you just said thank you and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon and stand a post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you're entitled to!
