gatortom64 1
Phil Hellmuth Arrives -- AgainMonday, October 20, 2008 06:08 PM PDT Hellmuth stopped by the tournament area during the last level with Michael Phelps, hoping some of Phelps' 14-gold-medal magic would rub off on Hellmuth, who only has eleven bracelets. Phil Hellmuth skipped the first three levels, and nearly a third of the fourth level. When he took his seat, he had around 39,000 in chips. We quickly went over to assess his chip stack, but he had already won his first pot of the day, and it was big enough to take him back up over the starting amount -- Hellmuth now has about 45,500. Here are the notable players at Hellmuth's table:Seat 3: Will "The Thrill" FaillaSeat 5: J.J. Naked_Cowboy 0
J.C. Alvarado Up Near 70,000Tuesday, October 21, 2008 02:23 PM PDT After a flop of 10 9 8 with about 14,000 already in the pot, the early-position player checks, J.C. Alvarado bets 8,400 from late position, and his opponent thinks for a bit before he calls. The turn card is the 2, and the first player checks. Alvarado thinks for a bit, and asks for a rough count of his opponent's chips. (Approximately 30,000, and Alvarado had him covered by nearly 9,000.) Alvarado bets 15,050, and his opponent pauses briefly before folding. J.C. Alvarado takes the pot, building his stack to about 69,500.

Naked_Cowboy 0
jc has elky, juanda and quinn do at his table tomorrow. juanda is on his right and elky is across, so it looks like an OK draw considering how stacked the field is.
