Well, one of two ways.. one, is just as you say, basing the character off the video, which is what I kind of am suspicious about at this point. It would be pure geniusthe second way is that you actually are not really asian, but instead that fat kid, and you put on a big act of loving DN for your own amusement at the WSOP, and to your amazement, he broadcast it. While I think that is extremely unlikely, it would be the most glorious answer.

BigD, you are correct in that no one has ever seen us together. My wife and I do have a horse ranch, and a horse that looks just like that. Just this one thing though. Look closely at the video, you can see this girl with a camera that many have thought was dutch in drag. Just putting that out there. If I can confirm this, it would prove that we are two different people.Please don't let this hurt my chances of being the flower girl. My wife is making the dress and that much fabric almost took all my tournament wins this week.

Though I think my internet conquest ranks higher in terms of reward, this would certainly be my greatest internet level in terms of effort, subtlety and craftsmanship. And your having called it would also be pretty impressive/dangerously paranoid. The fact that there's not honest work for our skills would really be a shame.

I think you're right. The sad thing is, I don't think there is anyone at PVT listening. Going back to the original idea of this thread.....I kinda gave up after they stopped responding to my emails after I placed a suggestion for more content myself. I was like a fanstruck idiot that kept taking names from people that were emailing or asking me at tournaments and casinos for the 24 hour pass cards. I would take their names and address and kept them nice and neat. After I had over 150 of them in my little, idiot book, (Like I was getting paid for it. HA!!!) I finally tossed the damn thing in the trash.

Ok following post involves a few assumptions so bare with me. Im 19 and play exclusively online small stakes cash, sngs, mtts I can honestly go through the new weekly content in about an hour or so. This is a problem since im paying 30 bucks for what breaks down to 4 hours of material per month. I come to the FCP forum and what do u know i find this post referring to exactly my problem. I see daniel's post about lacking content because of him being out of the country and not being able do audio for new videos. Hmmmm..since pokervt should have known that daniel was going to be gone and the content would be very thin, why is the price the same? If they honestly cared about customer care they could have:1) created a special price for these few months. and/or 2) let us know on FCP or PVT website itself that the new videos were coming out slower than intended and dont worry faster flow of content will be out after such and such date. and/or3) emailed us about the problem, they do have all our emails. JC even posted that he had some tourney vids that he submitted but were not on the site yet. Does this mean no matter how many videos the guys make the site will post the same amount every week to spread content? I hope not. We will find out really quick based on DN's comments about being MIA til now. Dont get me wrong all the videos posted are great and all the online pros do a good job conveying thoughts of hand ranges, reads, steals, equity, etc. I absolutely respect them for all their accomplishments in the game, and dont fault them for wanting to get paid by the site to post their videos. My 3 month initial sign up is over at the end of the month and im not sure if im gonna cancel or not. I honestly chose PVT over DC and CR because i thought a notable live pro like DN as the face of the site would mean good quality becuase if not his rep would be tarnished being associated with it. This site honestly now seems like a random entreprenuer who got Daniel help him make this half-ass site to make a quick buck. Looks like the online player orientated DC or CR might be my next choice.So basically i need more new videos per week to stay a member.PS: lol @ Paul B defending himself

Great post. I really think that they need to improve on the format and get some real content out there instead of just short Q&A. SB format needs to be done on all PATL formats. As far as the lol@ me defending myself. No need on tournament play. Great need in cash and internet. I'm already looking into other areas on the internet for that and when I break into the same success at one of them, they'll be bashing me on their forums if I find the same amount of success there. Hope you have that type of success too.

Nah I wasn't saying that they don't post all the videos, I'm just saying they probably just watch them all and decide which "lesson" fits best next, and so on...and I don't know what you mean about half -ass site? Honestly to me it seems like the most well designed/packaged site out there, it's got some annoying kinks but those will get fixed, I'm sure. Do you not remember what Cardrunners looked like when it first started? I think the site is software is amazing and a lot of the more interactive sections are great. I do think that the site hasn't reached it's full potential yet, but will soon.. wait till we have a wider selection of archived videos, more live videos and stuff like that, I honestly think it'll blow other sites away.

JC-I totally agree that it isn't a half-ass site, I just think the guys are getting fed up that support will not even respond to us anymore. It's like it's on hold until Daniel gets back.I think the site has great potential but it needs more organization and an easier way to find what will help you.The frustration is setting in on everyone. We all see Daniel all over the hockey and Obama forums but he doesn't respond to anyone here anymore. Matt, Adam, and you are the only ones that are really here talking about anything anymore. I know several guys at the casino that never respond to anything here because of the bashing that goes on and have asked me if PVT has it's own forum. They're a little afraid that if they get on there and want to ask something here then they'll get bombed. I'm telling you that you, Adam, Boostedj, Annette... all of you are just as talented as Daniel in your own format. They need to have you do the SB video format and keep up a little more if they want to be successful. I know that I could personally improve a ton if I could see each of you tell your style or describe other PATL styles in the SB format. That's what made the site successful for a while. Everything just goes on hold or they are fed just enough videos to keep them hanging on. I know that the major pros can't be here everyday but there are some really good players out there that play 1/2nl, 10/20 limit, and online small stakes everyday that give great advice that could be paid to give daily updates to the site. Thanks for responding here again. So, Paul ( whom I've become pretty friendly with via pm, and am now utterly convinced is a real, sincere, if overly gunho guy) gave me a 24 hour pass, to check out poker vt, and I found it really, really shocking, how little content there is. Maybe 24 hour passes don't get the complete access to content, but here are some of the problems I saw...A) the sight is extremely beginner geared. This isn't a problem, perse, it's just the bulk of the content is geared toward beginners. Like the entire math section. b)Much of the content is redundant with other materials, or even the site itself. Like the small ball section I don't see as being substantively different than DN's book. The math section, you can have access to that information at other places, cheaper (really, for free, if you are an active forum participant). But what I found most shocking was the Real time hand strategy thing, where they go over one hand at a time, and DN talks about the way the hand was played. There was one section of it, that had 8 videos.. and 3 of which where the same hand, with different DN commentary tracks ( though basically the hand was the same, where the girl calls with K2 suited in the blind). I can't believe that they would actually do that, package the same hand 3 times as if it were supposed to be different. IT shows, at the very least, there is poor quality controlC) There is not enough material, and what there is, is too light weight. Watching the Real time strat section is kind of interesting, but there were so very few hands, and really, there are thousands and thousands of hands online, where people talk about the way a hand is played, where you can get many different view points, not just one ( albeit a world class view point). And the videos of the online pros, those were the best part, I thought.. but.. Annette, as far as I could tell, only had one actual video of her playing. I particularlly liked JC's video, but again, it was just one video. Other comparable sites have dozens of 1 hour videos by their featured pros, comprising of hundreds of hours, in all different kinds of poker, Omaha, limit hold 'em, no limit, tourney's, Sitngo's. I'd heard that it was bad, but I couldnt' believe how little content there was.Basically, this site was just how i imagined it, but worse. It was all shiny.. it is undoubtedly a well programmed and interactive site. But, I personally would rather see more man hows making video's and less man hours coming up with fancy ways to present little content. There is just so very little content, it's shocking. Again, I don't know if more content is opened up when you become a member, but the trial I used was extremely unappealing. There are better sites out there, that give you more for less money. I think a beginning player, for example, can learn much more from reading FCP's strat forums, and asking questions there, than they can from VT. There's my review, for what it's worth.

I would have to give a lot of credit to PVT for helping me get into the real understanding of poker. It put me over the edge and made me a better player. Showed me a lot of things that most guys here take for granted now. I would be a lot more on thier side if I would get a response from support. If I won a big tournament later, I would have to mention PVT but I would also have to give a lot of pats on the backs to guys like BigD that sent me to the tournament strat section of this forum.If you are just starting out in poker, I would definately have to send you to PVT for the beginners section and the Small ball. After that I would send you to the strat forum here.

Well let me start out by saying I haven't really read all the posts in this thread.. i stopped about page 3 or 4. That being said if you're still interested in what i have to say then keep reading, if not then stop here. I've just recently started getting into poker seriously. I was looking forward to pokervt and when it came out i tried it for about 2 months. Went through the small ball section, went through the videos of the online pros. Having nothing to compare it too i thought it was great stuff and I do think it helped me to see how a "winning" player handles different situations. After 2 months and nothing really new to watch i decided to cancel. I basically canceled because I didn't think my money every month was worth the content that was being added. At this point i was still interested in a coaching site so i looked around and was considering CR and DC. After looking at some discussions on other forums between CR and DC i decided to give DC a try. Free 1 week trial and no large signup fee, just a monthly fee. Just from the 1 week free trial i could already see that DC was well ahead of PVT in terms of amount of content and the quality. I have been with DC ever since.That being said I only tried PVT for 2 months so i haven't seen any of the new content added since then, and the only reason i'm here now is i was interested to see how PVT was doing. I came across this thread, read about 3 pages of it and decided to share my experience. I'm not going to ramble on about why DC is better than PVT or the pros and cons of both. I'm not going to say pokerVT won't help you improve your game or turn you into a winning player. I'm not going to bash the "instructors" at either site or say some are better players than others. What i will say is that I have tried both and (assuming they both cost the same, which they aren't) I would choose DC over PVT. Even if DC was more expensive than PVT i would still go with DC.I'm not trying to keep people away from PVT, and they do have some good content on there. I just wanted to give my experience and hopefuly provide someone with good information without just arguing for or against. If anyone has any specific questions reguarding either site feel free to pm me.ps. if anything doesn't make sense or sounds stupid i didn't have time to go back over what i wrote as i am at work
